I'm going to get the LED lights that go between the tailgate and bumper for my Silverado. I don't want anything fancy, just running lights, brake, blinker, and reverse. I know a guy that has some on his Ram and I'm thinking about getting that kind. Not sure what brand it is, but I can find out. Anyone have any suggestions?

It was the only hubcap that was still left on the car Pretty bling indeed. Today i went to look at an 88 volvo 240 estate 2.0 automatic. 2nd worst car i've ever driven since the citroen. The seller said it was mechanically in good condition and cosmetically had minor surface rust. Ok well it took about 10 minutes to get the car to idle on its own and even barely then. I asked to take a spin and when i pushed the brake pedal to put it in drive, the brake pedal went all the way to the floor. Dash lights didnt work at all (except the one showing there was a broken bulb somewhere). When i started off from the traffic lights, the tranny made a whining noise when the revs built up. The car was bouncing uncontrollably due to busted shock absorbers. The rear end howled a bit. The car pulled badly to the left when braking(broken brake line, explains the pedal going down). It took ages to get it to 40mph and just as long to get it stopped. The interior was dirty as hell. The exterior was dirty and full of rust spots. The fuel tank was empty and i couldnt drive it very far when i had to turn back. Tomorrow im going to go look at a 1989 Mazda B2200 that should be in pretty mint condition. 1 owner, 162k miles, well maintained. And it certainly looks like it too. Well, i certainly heard that before. You can never believe until you see

The only thing I can't stand is how new cars don't have keys...wtf is wrong with people! I want a real key to stick into the ignition. The new ZR1's are so friggin gorgeous.

Now this is a long shot. A friend linked this picture and asked "wonder what happened to this car after the movie was shot". After a quick search through the swedish DMV's database reveals that this car was last inspected in 2001, where it failed on some bogus count. It had, when inspected done 85000km (52800 miles). Now, the owner of the car resides in Kalix, way up north where this friend who linked the picture lives. He recalls seeing the car driven around town by an older gentleman and looking mint. From the looks of things it was sold brand new in Sweden. It has a 351 Windsor and a tow hitch. It's a long shot, but I've found the owners phone number so I'm going to give him a call tomorrow and see what kind of shape the car is in and if it's for sale.

Alright short shifters, tell me what you know. I know how to install them and all just wanna get some input if they are good or bad. Looking to get one for the looks because I really don't like the look of this stock shifter and boot.

I know eh, I seriously hope that is an option. Push button start..... ewwwwww.... talk about a technical nightmare if something goes wrong.

Yup. And I heard there's been issues with the bush button ignition. As well as the "smart key" thing.

You call about the car Illousion? Yeah. It's apparantly mint, but he thinks it's made of gold. Way to expensive. Not buying. (:

What color is my sisters truck were trying to find out but have no clue. The reason i ask is because they wanna match the vent visors pictured below for the rear windows and to replace the front vents. and a refernce pic to the color of truck

Open the hood and find the small tag that has the color code on it.

I think GM puts the color code in the glove box of SUV's/trucks. Cars it's always the trunk. Either that or check under the hood like BlackAce said.
Actually, I just remembered, I think Chevy has been putting the code in the glove box on all of their vehicles. My girl friend's new Malibu has the code in the glove box.

Well heres a small video driving around. Obviously its louder than in the video but i did record it with my phone.
I decieded ill put new pipe on next week when i get the car on a lift. Im probably going to have to shorten the existing pipe so my new pipe wont go too close to the rear wheel. A 90 degree bend would've just looked silly so i bought the 60 degree one instead.

In my infinite wisdom because I'm a fucking retard I took my tuck down a narrow trail last night and scratched the shut out of it. How can I get some of that out?

Depends how deep the scratches are. Can you actually get your finger into the crack? For lighter surface scratches, by hand you should be able to rub them out with a soft microfiber cloth and polishing compound. If that doesn't do the job you can try to apply some rubbing compound first. But be careful with that stuff because it can cut through clear coat just as easy as the scratch and can dull the paint fast. Even without much effort. If you're careful though, you can rub in just enough rubbing compound to get out the scratch, then buff with some polish by hand. This will buff back the shine and fix any damaged clear coat. If you can't get them by hand, a buffer probably will, but it will be much harsher on the paint. Got a pic of it? A product I would try first is Meguiar's Ultimate Compound. It's kind of a rubbing compound+polish in one. I've used it before and it worked great. www.meguiars.com/en/automotive/products/g17216-ultimate-compound/

After I washed it I decided to go with a professional opinion. It covers such a large area I decided not do it myself. Most are light but there are a few deep ones. I'm going to get it's polished and wet sanded by a body shop. It was an expensive mistake.
Here's a lesson for the kids- don't drink and drive because it hurts the ones you love... Like your truck.
