Yeah there have definitely been improvements, even in the last 5 years. Back in the 50's a car could start rusting in 6 months if it wasn't kept sparkling clean and dry all over. That's why it's so nice to find older cars in such good unrestored condition.
What year's your Cruze? Nice car, probably the best all around in it's segment IMO.

Was thinking about getting a cheap car to driver during the road salt times in the winter. Already feel bad for driving my 1400€ truck in the salt a couple times last winter. Last september when i took the wooden cover off my bed i noticed a few rust holes in front and behind the fenders. Im really considering to buy a cheap mig welder and patch up everything on the truck. Oh well. Wont have to worry about driving in the salt next winter since ill be in the army.

Its a 2013, it was one of the first ones built for the model year. I love the damn thing, awesome little car. Reason I went with it was because the other competing brands couldn't offer what I wanted, in terms of options, for my price range.

Yeah, that's exactly why I think it's the best in it's class. Plus the build quality is excellent.

To me, this is just incredible....
Chris, my dad had something similar happen to his old 66 Chevelle. The guy he sold it to put a tarp on it and locked it away in a barn and never touched it again. 20 years later, it's still there and the guy won't sell it back to my dad. At least we know where it's at though.

Yesterday (June 30th) marked the 60th anniversary of the Corvette. It was June 30th, 1953 that the first Corvettes rolled off the assembly line in Flint, Michigan. The Corvette is the second longest produced passenger vehicle nameplate by an automotive company. The first also belonging to Chevy being the Suburban. In 1953 there were 300 Corvette's produced, all painted in Polo White with red interiors and priced at $3,498. The first motor in the Corvette was an inline six-cylinder. By 1956 the I-6 was discontinued for a standard V8. Since 1956 the Corvette has offered only V8 engines. As of 2009 there have been 1.5 million Corvettes produced. In 2006, the third Corvette ever built sold for $1.06M at auction. Some pictures of the first Corvettes in the Michigan plant in 1953 Some other various Corvette pictures

Damn, I want that '63 split window...
Anyways, I've seen this car before, but never heard anything about production, just thought it was a custom job, but now I've been seeing that the 2014 Trans Am will be a production car. GM doesn't claim it (not that I've found anyways) and I think it's just a kit to make the Camaro look like a Trans Am. Anyone know more about this car and possible production?

An Official trans am from GM will not happen, Pontiac is dead and gone. There are plenty of aftermarket bodykits for the Camaro to make it resemble a Trans am. I figured so. Personally, I think the Trans Am body kits look kick ass...I like those better than the Camaros.
