I think my '78 is the same exact one as yours. Do you have any pics of your family's old deVille? I'd be happy to drive the Crown Vic everyday. A friend of mine emailed me this '75 Eldorado. 81,600 miles with one of my favorite color combos. Just absolutely love it. '71-'76 has the 500 cubic inch, 400HP and 550ft lbs torque. I had more time tonight to check out the site better. Here's some of my favorites from the collection in no particular order. 1999 Mercedes SL600 - 6.0L V12; Love these older Mercedes', what a sleek beast. Pics 1997 Cadillac Seville STS - 4.6L 32V Northstar; I found this one particularly interesting because of the unique way the PCM had been modded. Very rare and difficult to do on Northstar cars. His results prove what the Northstar engine is capable of, and how GM deliberately limited it's power. Over 165MPH top speed out of 335HP with a simple programming mod. Mind you on a $4x,xxxk daily driver. Gotta love the Northstar. Quoted from his site: What these upgrades did was nothing miraculous, but it did stiffen up the already decent active suspension a bit, added a bit of timing in the low RPMs where the Northstar is actually limited to reduce tire spin, and adjust A/F for a bit more aggressive performance while still retaining all 50 state CARB regulations. All this together give this car a very low 14/ high 13 second 1/4 mile car and a top speed of over 165MPH. This car also has a tuned custom exhaust system that combined with the programming boasts about 335HP. Pics 1994 Cadillac Fleetwood Armored; Ugh, gotta change my pants after looking at this. I'm in love with these Fleetwoods as it is, and this thing is just rediculous. What a rare collectible monster. Quoted from his site: Weighing in at 6648 lbs, This car is Level III NIJ certified in the US and meets all European spec B5 for a Fully Armored Car. This was a $90K cost on top of the car done when new by the Safe Car armor company back in 1994. This car is NOT like what some manufacturers offer as a “protection package”. This is the real deal and certified. The entire passenger compartment is fully protected. All doors, firewall, back, the roof and floor are fully armored. All of the glass is from Safe Car and is rated Level III/B5 as well. Windows are over 1” thick and the front and rear are about 2”. All of the transparent armor used in the windows consists of double layers of dense ballistic glass laminated to a tough inner spall-shield of polycarbonate. It also has run flat inserts in the tires rated to drive up to 55mph so you do not have to buy special tires. To quote the manufacturer “it will stop the penetration of multiple bullets fired point-blank from all super-power handguns and sub-machine guns including such weapons as the .44 magnum and 9 mm machine guns.” Level III NIJ is also Nato round approved. That is a .223 or a 7.62x39 round too. The floors and roof are armored by ballistic blankets too for grenades, etc. The armor is molded to the exact contours of the vehicle so that it does not alter the appearance or integrity in anyway. The armor setup on this car is intense, the doors are 300 LBS each. Its hard to see in photographs, but the windows up close have an ominous appearance to them with their thickness and depth. You know this is not a car to mess with after close inspection. Although the car has been modified, it is one of the best hidden full level III cars I have seen still maintain all factory integrity. Pics 1982 Cadillac Sedan deVille D'Elegance; The thing that I love so much about this 80's Deville is the color combination and velour apholstery. The white and blue are a gorgeous match. Pics 1978 Lincoln Continental Mark V "Diamond Jubilee Edition - 7.5L V8 - 660 miles Pics 1980 Cadillac Eldorado - 6.0L Big Block; I've always had a love for this generation Eldo body style, and as he says on his site, the '80 was the only year to have the last of the traditional big blocks. I also really love this particular Eldo. Pics 1991 Cadillac Brougham w/ Astro Roof - 5.7L V8; LOVE LOVE LOVE this car. The colors, options, everything about it is just so classic and bad ass. What a beauty. Pics 1971 Cadillac Coupe deVille - 472cu" 7.7L V8 375HP - 16,000 miles; One of the most mint and gorgeous completely original cars I've ever seen. Pics 1966 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible - 429cu" 7.0L V8 430HP - 19,000 miles; Another beautiful Cadillac. Some of the best body lines on any vehicle ever. Equipped with options that most cars didn't start getting till after 2005. Pics 2007 Chevy Corvette - 6.0L LS2 - 4,500 miles; I love these, plain and simple. LSx engines are epic. Pics 2002 Jaguar XK8 - 4.0L V8 - 39,000 miles; I've always liked these. For a 1975 in Sweden I can't believe rust hasn't taken that off the road yet. Someone sure has taken very good care of it. The first 240's that came in 1975 had, alongside with severe quality issues, some sort of water based paint that was supposed to be good for the enviroment. Maybe it was, but wow did the early 240's rot early. Like, in a matter of two years you'd see obvious rust on them. And the tailgate on the 245 station wagons was even worse, they didn't even bother fixing that under the models 18-year production run. ;D EDIT; Some more cars I've seen in the wild. 1967-68 Cadillac convertible, can't tell them appart. Looks like it has been recently painted, becuase of the lack of trim. Badass late 30's Chevrolet! You'll have to bear with me on this one, Ford F-150 Raptor. Saw it in Stockholm. I just find these to be super cool.

Nice pics again. Stockholm looks like a cool city. The Caddy looks like a '68 Coupe deVille. The grill's on the 68's pop up a bit in the center while the 67's and earlier stay even all the way across. Other than that there are hardly any differences you can catch by eye. Here's a '67. I don't think the Ford Raptors are all that popular even in America. I've seen a small handful of them.

I decided to detail the car this morning since it's so beautiful out. I took a few pics and I'll mention a few of the products I use as well as the process. I was debating on claybaring it, but I think I'll wait. For that I use the Mother's kit. I find their instant detail spray to give the best shine and lubrication. Usually the process is to wash the car, dry it, then claybar, then polish/wax. For those who might be considering it, I say do it a few times a year. It really is amazing to feel how smooth the paint is after. The first thing I do is be sure to soak the whole car with high pressure to loosen up all the crap. Then I mix up the car soap with water. Any brand will do, I use Meguiar's. I make sure to add a little extra soap to water than they say to because I find the soapier it is the better. Then I fill a smaller bucket with clean water so after each section I can 'clean' off the mitt. This prevents some crap that you have already picked up from rubbing into the paint. For the body and windows I use a car washing mitt, for the wheels I use a sponge. Before starting the actual wash, I spray bug & tar remover all around the fenders and under the doors, as well as the bumpers. It really does help break up all the grime that builds up in these areas. Next I wash the whole car making sure to get it really sudzy. As I said, after each section I clean off the mitt. I do the roof first and hose it off. Then I do the car in halves. When one half is done, I hose it off, then do the other side. I also make sure to quickly use the sponge for the inner wheel wells around the tire. After the wash I dry the car. A rule for anyone who knows anything about detailing is always use microfiber cloths on the paint of a vehicle. I have about 10 of them, I'm a junky for the things. It takes abour 5 to dry off my entire car, depending on how much of the water evaporates before I get to drying. The same area as above after washing and drying After drying, it's time to do the wheels. My main method is to use a cleaning spray formulated for chrome to keep them up. Usually once toward the end of summer I use actual chrome polish to prepare them for winter. But I keep them up well so I don't worry about polishing them constantly. I've used a lot of brands of cleaner but the two I like best are Eagle One and Meguiar's. I'm using a new bottle of Meguiar's today. They also have them for aluminum, general purprose, etc. First I use my good old sponge with the soap mixture and give them a wipe down. Next, cover the wheel with the cleaner. They weren't that dirty right now, so I didn't go too crazy. If you keep something up it makes cleaning it way easier. I also will use a toothbrush to get in the crevaces. Next I hose off the wheel with high pressure and dry it with a 100% cotton t-shirt. Not too difficult and it looks like a mirror. After the wheels are done I quickly spray a bit of the chrome cleaner on the pipe tips and again use the tooth brush. Hose and dry. Normally when I wash the car, I just use quick detail spray. Gives it a good shine and is quick and simple. I usually do a good old fashioned polish and wax job twice a year. As I said above, I don't worry much because I already keep the car up so well. I give a dot of spray about every 5 or 6 inches on the area and buff it by hand with my softest microfiber cloth. This is also the point when I'll clean the door jams. It's a quick wipe down procedure when you keep them up. I find the Turtle Wax brand to be one of my favorites. After waxing, she's almost finished. To finish up I polish all the lights on the vehicle with Meguiar's PlastX Headlight Polish. Doing this everytime I wash the car keeps the lights in perfect condition. Then I use Perfect Glass and wipe down all the outside glass. This stuff is amazing, best glass product I've used. Lastly, I spray some tire wet on the tires and let her run for a few minutes. Finished result:

Nice job on the cleaning Those rims, are they actual rims, or just cheap electroplated plastic caps that most manufacturers use to cut costs, and put an ugly steel one for actual structure? (not in any way slamming your car)

Thanks, I like them a lot. I think they are one of the best wheels GM has ever built. Very flashy but not retarded like most aftermarket wheels. They have a very cool look to them when they are spinning when they're nice and shiny.

I spotted this 1973 Volvo 142 in a residential area south of Stockholm. I haven't thought about it before, but the 1973 140's are the ugliest Volvos before the 480. The front with those huge headlights, turn signals and narrow bumper remind me of a Stutz. ;D Oh and Kurt, my father decided to buy the '91 Brougham. As soon as it comes home I'll have some HQ pics to show how clean it really is.
