That's too bad. Who's reviewed it? I've just looked around and I've seen more sources saying it's 25-30 hours. I guess we'll see. I thought RDR's main story had an almost perfect length. Just enough so it didn't start getting boring. And all the extra challenges and stuff give you way more playing time. I wish Noire would be similar to that. Here's one I found www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-03-15-main-l-a-noire-story-25-30-hours-longHere's a quote from IGN: "Depending on how much time you devote to exploring the city, it will take anywhere from 12 to 20 hours to beat. Many won't find a reason to return." Graphics "The faces are pretty damned awesome -- it's the actors, after all. The X360 version suffers from some performance issues -- framerate stuttering and graphical glitches."

What the heck, this game is starting to sound either really half assed, or then they threw in 360 support just for anyhow...

It depends of the people. Some folks love it, some others don't. It's a completely new game, nothing like this has been seen before, so... I think we can now see the limits of the consoles...At least, some people say so.
By the way, it's Team Bondi game after all, and not Rockstar's...Yes they edited it, but it's like EA editing DICE games so yeah...

Yeah I would have a bit more confidence if it was actually made by Rockstar. And I think it's true that the game is only for a certain crowd. I'm sure kids will think it's another GTA and then cry when they realize it's like a 40's movie. Personally I will enjoy it even if it's slow paced and less action. It's something different. If you want to run and gun and blow shit up with dynamite that's what we have GTA and RDR for. As far as the console thing goes that's why I'm not a fan of them. Yes you have to update a computer every couple years to keep up with games, but in most cases you can get away with just a GPU for a couple hundred bucks max. Consoles these days are at least $500 bucks on release. My original PS3 was 600 fuckin bucks and it broke on me a year later. And now the 360 and PS3 are already obsolete. Here's the Gamespot review if anyone hasn't seen it. www.gamespot.com/ps3/adventure/lanoire/review.html

Well so far my initial impression is good. I like the game a lot so far and really like the searching for clues, interrogation and the level of detail when you walk around a crime scene. I've also been impressed by the motion capture, it looks pretty cool. Shooting is fun, especially with the pump shotgun. In an early case you come across some guys trying to rob a store (can't remember if it was a bank) and you can basically blow the shit out of the place with a shotgun. I have to say though I wish there was more blood and gore, similar to what Red Dead had. I haven't had any slowdowns or fraterate issues on the PS3 so far, and the install only took about 3-5 mins with the one disc. The only thing I'm not a big fan of is the driving. I think it's lacking physics detail and the cars accelerate way too fast and handling is too sharp. I feel like they didn't put as much effort into the driving portion and considered it secondary, but everything is so detailed I guess it makes up for it. I think the handling in Mafia 2 was perfect and I wish it was similar in this game.
But to anyone who thinks this is GTA or RDR, you'll be disapointed. It's great at what it does but it is not GTA.

Euphoria Engine is not used, so that might explain why the driving is not very accurate

Yeah I was going to mention the lack of physics is probably from no Euphoria engine, but I'm still enjoying the game a lot. It's prob just cause the last two games I've played have been GTA4 and Red Dead lol. So I'm just used to those.

Just got done with it Man this game is completely epic. The game takes a turnover at the end and you end up with corrupted politicians and shit. Beat it in exactly 16 hours and 26 seconds. Definately a must for everyone I think I actually had a tear at the end By the way, Biggs is an epic character, I love him

Is that with the side tasks to or just the main story Tom?
They played a commercial for it in every break in the hockey game today. It really does look epic.

Well, I did 4 of the 40 side tasks in the game along with the story. Add about 2 hours to complete the side tasks and 3-4 hours to unlock all the monuments in the city

I heard the game tends to overheat the Ps3 and Xbox 360.

Yeah I didn't have anything like that on my new PS3. I think I read that only happens on the older fat PS3. Idk anything about Xbox though.

Got this a few days ago. Wow it's damn cool! I'm pretty decent at the questioning part, usually get 4/6 correct or something like that. The last case of patrol was real nice, although; Donnelly gave me hell when I could'nt get the guy to confess on the first four tries. ;D I finished traffic last night, great cases. I liked the second one best. The third was good too, but the ending felt somewhat exaturated. Overall, it's a fantastic experience so far.
