17th eh. Wish it was earlier in the month. I wonder if this game has been what's holding up GTA5.

I like the look of it, it seems like a cousin to Mafia II but from the other side of the law. Good thing is, at least with it being Rockstar it will take more than four hours to complete.

17th eh. Wish it was earlier in the month. I wonder if this game has been what's holding up GTA5. I don't think so. First, Team Bondi is developping it. Yes, it's developped in conjunction with Rockstar, but they got a lot of studios. Rockstar North has been developping GTA series for years along with Rockstar Toronto. They are propably working on it, but I wouldn't say L.A. Noire is slowing down GTA5 developpment. I think Take-Two will officially announce GTA 5 at the E3, mid-june, so wait and see.

UPDATE.
1st update: Rockstar and Team Bondi used about 180 000 pictures to re-create LA in 1947 and to model furnitures and things like that.
2nd update: L.A. Noire will be delivered in 3 cd's for the Xbox 360 version, but we shouldn't have to switch them very often (which means BTW that the game is very long). PS3 version will come in 1 CD, thanks to Blue-Ray technology.

Another reason why HD DVD is inferior

I don't even mind multiple CD's so much on PC, but I'd get so annoyed with 3CD's on a console.

They did something similar for Forza 3, I had to install the one disc, then just used the other disc to play the game

Found some new informations. First, the game is supposed to be "open-world" like GTA IV. Here's the map, 21 kilometers, they say it takes about half an hour going from north to south. Sorry for the french link and the little picture. www.ultimateps3.fr/news-ps3-7075-l-a-noire-21-km.html

3 little days and I'm finally playing it. It's been in developpement since 2005, so I'm expecting a good game By the way, Rockstar didn't use Euphoria Engine for this one, like they did for RDR Anyways, here's a Canadian unboxing the 360 version. EDIT: RUMOR DENIED, NO FREE-MODE

I pre-ordered it. It will be the only console game I've bought since Red Dead and prob the only one I'll buy til GTA5. But I have faith in R* and this looks really good so I don't think I'll regret it. I'm still getting my rocks off with Red Dead.

Still, I got to notify you guys, this is NOT a GTA OR a GTA-Like, this is a completely new game "system" based on murder cases and such things.

I'll be driving this ;D lanoire.wikia.com/wiki/Cadillac_Series_62And the Buick Roadmaster. I hope for the actual game they FOR ONCE use real car names. It looks to me like they are. And from what I see the models look very accurate to the real cars. Even the hood ornament and emblem on the Caddy looked 100%.

Reviews say it takes about 15 hours to complete the story

That's too bad. Who's reviewed it? I've just looked around and I've seen more sources saying it's 25-30 hours. I guess we'll see. I thought RDR's main story had an almost perfect length. Just enough so it didn't start getting boring. And all the extra challenges and stuff give you way more playing time. I wish Noire would be similar to that. Here's one I found www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-03-15-main-l-a-noire-story-25-30-hours-long
