I was thinking about switching to round headlights on my ranger. I edited a photo (not good) but it gets that main idea down. What do u guys think? I think itll give it an older ford look.Like the older f100s I think they were. I would have to customize the grill alittle and fill in the square part to make it round. Which would not be hard. But I Was just curious on what you guys think. Seens that a few other people did it on their rangers. Google searched it. Let me know. Heres the round. Heres the stock. Also maybe switching to 15x8 rims in the rear rathem then the 15x10s. Using the same 275/60r15 tires though except on alittle smaller rim. Should look better im thinking. But let me know about the headlights.

Personal opinion stay with what you have, if your going to add driving lights then go round so they all match, but if not stay with the square ones.

Why in the hell would he put driving lights on a ford ranger, or atleast on one that looks like a custom hot rod... I'd stay with square.

Dont listen to the mick, they are idiots. Make em round. Just like the F350 ranger a buddy of mine has, back when ranger was just a trim level

Heres two pics I found. I sorta like it. Not sure how it would look on my truck though. Maybe if I did round 2" turn signals also in the corners and got rid of the big old rectangle ones? Just looking for something different lol Just did a half ass edit of the front pic of when my truck was black..what about this? Or this? it would be alittle farther over on each side do to the bumper pieces in the lower valence.

Round looks more menacing to me atleast, but it's your vehicle so you have to decide which one.

Just an idea, your looking for custom, round them off to the shape of the gaurds/fenders to follow the lines and hide the lights.

I usually like square headlights best, but round would look pretty good on there. I would keep the original turn signals though.

I'd go with rounds. What size are they? If they're the 7" buckets I'd put the buckets in with the LEDs around the sides.

Whatever you plan on doing, or sticking with. Buy sealed beam conversions, then a set of HID's. They will blow your sealed beam setup out of the water, and you'll be able to see for blocks, hell miles lol. Best investment for driving at night.

Or if you're gonna spend the money on HIDs, get some truck lite LED ones. Not blinding to everyone else and way better light for yourself. They also never burn out.

So I changed the name of the thread. Didn't see a point in making a new one when its basically about the same subject..
But anyways went to a junkyard and picked up a 77 chevy grill for my ranger since I want to give it a custom front end. I think its going to look pretty sweet. Will post more pics when I get more done. Pretty crazy how good they fit on this smaller truck.

I don't know what these guys are talking about, but stick with halogens. Oncoming drivers will thank you. I have a hard time believing any of those new lights don't blind people. Every fuckin car that comes at me with those white/blue ass LED or HID lights looks like they're driving with their high beams on. Can't see shit until they pass by. Maybe I'm just not informed enough and there's a good set of lights that don't do that and people around me are just too much of dickheads to use them, but I've yet to see them. Just my opinion. On subject of the grille..I'm actually a bit surprised that fit on there like it did. Gonna look pretty good when it's done.

Those lights are fine. Retards don't know how to adjust them is what the problem is.

I'll deff stick with the stock headlights. I hate them blue ones also. I've also seen yellow driving around too. I think the stock ones are the best IMO. But yea, I never would have though that it would line up one the truck as good as it does. I thought I was going to have to modify them. I'm glad I don't need to. Only think I need to shorten width wise is the top and bottom part of the grill. But I'm pretty excited I'd got to find what I was looking for and to also try it. And for it to fit how I want it, just makes the project alittle easier haha. Should be pretty wild looking when I'm done.

I think the stock ones look better.
Some cars are starting to come with annoying lights from the factory now. I can't stand the blue light look. I think it looks terrible and it's distracting when it's coming at you in the dark. The whiter the light the cleaner the look and in my experience it is less irritating at night.

Truck lite makes some LED headlights that aren't too bad looking nor blinding. We have the sqaure ones on the binder. But they also make round ones that should fit and adjust like yours.

I'm just going to buy two spot lights from Walmart and add string to the triggers so when I need them on, All I have to do is pull the string from inside the cab and bam, I'll have my headlights. I will save money and live better!
