The model is by Eric (eclipse), he wanted me to convert this a while back so I did. It's in the middle of being mapped. Credits: Eric for the main base model. Me for the glad hands & plugs, reflective tape, and fixing the normals and gaps. So far it's at around 55,000 polies. I'm still debating whether I wanna make loads for it or not as I have no clue how loads will handle multiple materials. If I can get those to work, I'll make a bunch of loads for it. I don't need any ideas yet but if I decide I can do it, I will let you all know for some suggestions. pic:

Materials and normals look good. Glad to see you were able to fix what the 3ds export screwed up with the normals and made gaps. After being frustrated with that 3ds export it that kinda killed modeling in max for haulin for me.

holy shit man, those loads are awesome! I'd definitely use them. I'll check before I keep working on the trailer if it's possible to add loads to a multi material trailer. I'm not sure how it works really with them, so before you pack those up I'll check just to be sure. I've never done a flatbed with visible loads before.

After being frustrated with that 3ds export it that kinda killed modeling in max for haulin for me. You must smooth all objects @ 45° (3dS Max in polygon mode, C4D @ the phong tag) before exporting to zmod, max object size must 60k, nothing more ;O) @ Chris Ok, i make a package and send it to you ( but without the bricks, i think that isn't needed)

After being frustrated with that 3ds export it that kinda killed modeling in max for haulin for me. Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's because 3ds max has automatic normals calculation, doesn't it? I can't remember. The thing you gotta do to fix them back the same way as they were in max is to detach the sharp corners and calculate them. Also, for some reason the axis get's all messed up when imprting 3ds into zmodeler. It's been asked to be fixed many times but oleg seems to have no clue and acts like we're crazy. Oh well, one day it would be nice from someone to create a filter from 3ds max, so we wouldn't have to convert anything at all. sounds good kamaz, thanks alot.

Like a z3d export filter from max would be nice. The version i sent you was the least screwed up where the axis werent nearly as bad. As for the normals. On my craptastic old computer zmod2 doesn't work worth a shit and it makes it hard to do all that detaching. Now I'm without max.
Got what I thought was the last part for my newer pc and still no go. I give up with computers
btw chris do you have max? I have a pipe load I made in max

I actually don't anymore, I was thinking of installing it again but.... I'm not sure. I probably will in time. I installed the 30 day trial, when I went to uninstall it, it fucked up completely.... so I gotta do a force uninstall now. I don't wanna try installing it over top of the shitty uninstall, so I've just been too lazy to do that, lol. If you need help with your pc, give me a shout. I'm not no genius or anything, but if I can help you with it, it would definitely be worth it.

Schweet ass work Eclipse & Chris! It'll look awesome with Kamaz's loads. If the barriers were used they should be reduced down to four sets of five. I think the same would have to be done with the bricks. That is if you decide to use them all. However you do it its going to rock. Keep it up! Sean
