ok well i cant exactly say throught newggs links but i can write out a list of specs unless, your going with a comp company like HP or Gateway.
OS: Vista (if not stick with xp) Memory: 2-4 GB Video Card: Nvidia 8600 or higher HD: 500 at least... Processor: Quad Core or better Monitor: idk Default speakers
if you know how to build a comp
i built mine cost me 1600 but worth it
I7 Processor 920 (8 CPU's) 2.7 GHZ ATI Radeon 4870 6GB of memory 640 GB HD HP w2408 monitor
pretty much every game runs it lol.

I7's are pieces of shit, you can get a AMD Phenom for more then half that. and there just as good. 6 gigs of ram is overkill. ati, i hate ati , but thats just me. nVidia runs better on haulin though.

Only thing about barebones are, that I don't know what the fuck im doing when it comes to installing it. If theres one that comes with the motherboard and case already plugged up, then yeah. Price is a bit steep too. But thanks.

I already have a keyboard, mouse, 20 inch flatscreen monitor, speakers. All I need is the actuall PC. I even already have the OS. AND the graphics card, but im not sure if it still works. Its a 8800GT that I ordered a while back when I did my build, but fucked up. You can get a good gaming rig for about 500 from HP, and thats with all the extra crap.
And considering all of the money is coming from working, Im not going to spend 1600 dollars when I can spend more than half of that and still get the same quality.

up to you, if you want a barebone, dont go with acer, go with HP or gateway...

acer was great to me, no complaints here. My second computer is an acer and it's set up just right, besides not having enough RAM. Ced if you can get one for 500 and it's decent then go for it. And don't waste that video card, if it still works use it. There's plenty of places around, like stores, that sell bare components like motherboards for cheap and RAM. Good stuff too.

Yea I can go about 500 tops. I'll probably try to find one that a motherboard is already installed. The rest is a breeze.

Everything went fine. Got it home, plugged it up. Once I plugged it up though, set everything up, Vista was running pretty laggy. Im like alright, lets just wait it out, first time running, might be a little sluggish. Then I went to the task manager because I was wondering how much Vista really did hog up. Once I saw so much crap, I went to youtube and looked for ways to improve it so fast ;D. Followed the vids, and damn did it make a difference. THEN, unplugged everything, installed my 8600GT graphics card and my power supply, no problems. Got the latest drivers for everything, and man is it running nice. When I was thinking about getting a new computer, barebone or pre-installed, I was ALWAYS the one to think about "Shit, but Vista". I gotta say, its pretty neat actually. No problems what so ever. No errors, none of that crap. Anyway, heres my specs: - OS: Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit
- Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 7550 Dual-Core processor 2.50GHz
- Hard Drive: 320GB
- RAM: 3.00 GB
- GPU: Nvida 8600GT 256MB DDR3
- PSU: 450W
Just thought I'd throw this in. TOTAL COST: $405.20(without the psu and gpu)Pretty damn good.
