Dan, that's just you... you probably did something wrong. Vista is great as long as you have enough resources. I've had it now with this computer for 8 months and hasn't set a foot wrong over what XP would. Now you'll just have to get out of Firefox and realise how behind it is ;D EDIT: XD

Honestly, you bought the wrong graphics card. You bought a video card that doesn't work well with high resolutions, and you bought an unmatching system for it too. A 8600GT has poor performance ratings for directX 10, and windows vista runs on that. Plus, what's the point of getting vista if you're not running higher than 1280X960? I dunno what I'm talking about, it should run okay. I'm waiting for some dumbass to start the "XP is better" discussion.

Plus, what's the point of getting vista if you're not running higher than 1280X960? Most computers now come with Vista as standard, no matter what monitor you have (if you buy it ready built that is)

Actually people who buy them ready built have the least hardware problems with them. Which let's face it are the worst. All of my computers have been ready built and I laugh in the face of people who have built their computers and their hardware then fries or something. Never had a single problem with any of mine
