Everyone that knows anything about 3406's knows that the mechanical C will last you forever. Oh and also, sam, I saw a 50th anneversary here in Oklahoma City. I think it might have been the same one that was posted earlier, but I'd have to see the guy's face that drives it. Dunno why, but I don't remember much about the truck other than somewhat what the driver looked like. lol

You know I might be able to start fixing the mechanics if I can ever quite buying chrome... Got headlight visors today, I'll post a pic when I get them on.

Just jam any license play in the window so it looks like you have something atleast. If they notice they may let you pass on by or look at the truck and say wait a sec.....

Truck always could move on its own. The main drive was just gone.
Got it home fine. I think the only good drive is on its way out. Could feel something slipping and it's not the transmission since its in every gear. Other than that it runs fine and shifts smooth. Need to adjust the clutch, it grabs about 2" from the top. Pics to come.

It's really coming along. I was skeptical at first, but now I really hope you make it all the way through. I wish I could come help and that's saying something because I hate working on things.

Only one of my true neighbors who didn't come look at it or say anything were the Asians next door because they no speaky. Only one I had problems with was the old bastard down the street who's head of the neighborhood association which we are not a part of. He hobbled his old ass down there while I was working on it and said it wasn't making the neighborhood look good having it here. Every time he started talking after that I just started mashing on the throttle and pissing him off. Found a wide load banner in my sleeper...lost that when I taped it to his garage that night. Truck was only there for 3 days, it's at an RV storage place now. When I left I wailed on the air horn past his house. And ford, that's a homeland security vehicle. I figured if the Feds didn't come say anything about my slick ride being in the driveway then I damn sure wasn't gonna listen to that old fuck.

He's head of the neighborhood association, did it ever occour to you that members might have complained, then it's actually his job to do something, your way of handling it is just plain rude and respectless..!! Truckdrivers wonder why no one pays them any respect nor why the general public hate them, you just made the gap between him and truckdrivers even bigger. Good job sinking below he's level -_-

Good job sinking below he's level -_- He also said that he's not a part of the Homeowners association. Therefore the guy has absolutely no authority to tell him what he can and cannot do. The fact that because he's a trucker you assume he has to be submissive is appalling. If it were a mustang would you assume the same thing? Would that also decrease respect for car enthusiasts? What he did should not be considered anything. That asshole should have minded his own business and told the members that Flight wasn't a member of the homeowner's association so he couldn't do anything. Not to mention they should have left him alone for a couple days to see what he did, maybe even a week before saying anything. At least ask him if he's going to keep it there. Hell I'm sure if it was that much of a problem he could have just thrown a tarp over it to cover it up. I doubt they'll mind once it's all dolled up...

From what I read he only said it didn't make the neighborhood look good, from what I see he only told the plain and simple truth! Unless I got it all wrong there was only one person acting hostile wether you like it or not! I believe most people act polite, we don't know if he asked for how long it had to stay there and we'll never know. In this case you can say there's 2 sides, Flight's, which we know, the older guy's which we don't know and then there's a 3rd side the actual truth which we'll never know either..!! 359er, don't get my statement wrong, I see alot of potential (and Work ) in your truck but I have to agree with the older guy, it don't make the area pretty in any way right now

Of course it doesn't make it look better, but as long as it's on his property and it's not affecting anyone in a serious manner, he doesn't really have to say anything. That old man made a point of telling him that, even though it's really none of his business. As long as he wasn't running the truck late at night or too early in the morning I don't really see a reason to say anything unless that old man is making a point to be passive aggressive towards him, in which case he shouldn't be surprised at the response he got. Maybe the old man was being polite, but in this day & age I seriously doubt it. People care too much about petty things, like the way the neighborhood looks. There's a point to where you should care and keep your neighborhood clean and a point where you're just being anal. That's my conclusion, considering they obviously take very good care of their property. Hell, look at that yard. That grass is perfect.
