Yea 300w was the important part. You definitely need at least 500w for a newer card. Really for just about any card.

Alright so I'm sure this question has been asked a billion times on here, but I want a good computer to run ATS and work in Blender. I want to spend up anywhere from $150-$300. What are my best options? I really don't know (as much as I think I do) when it comes to graphics cards and what not anymore. Any ideas?

You might be able to buy a computer for that, but not one that will run ATS.

I would say around 4-500 would get you something that could play ats. Nothing fancy, but could probably get the job done.

Though if you get into more demanding games the dual core cpu will struggle a bit... Though if you are good with blender and want to play GTA V or something to that affect i'd recommend paying a little extra and getting an i5 cpu Dual Core pcpartpicker.com/p/sV3qcfIntel i5 pcpartpicker.com/p/DPxncf

I would get this, if I were you. Amd has better CPUs for the money for low end gaming. The i5 is just to expensive for what you want. This PC should run ATS decently. The 750 is a good GPU, several people are using it in ATS already and the AMD fx6300 is a very good CPU. You don't need an additional heat-sync or a custom one, the OEM heat-sync should be just fine if you dont do any overclocking, but the 6300 can't go too high anyway. pcpartpicker.com/p/zq7f3C

So I guess I buy all of the components and then throw em' into whatever tower I want or how does that work?

Do You really need the brand new? Most parts have 2-3 yrs warranty. For 300$ You can find a good one, especially for ATS.

Do NOT buy used parts.. Not if you want to get your money's worth anyway. Used parts don't have transferable warranties and you'll never get what you pay for unless you really buy cheap. That is a BAD idea. That build I sent just used the same case as what brett suggested, but you can use your own as long as it's an ATX case, unless you want to go with a microatx case, but then you have to make sure you buy a small enough(dimension wise) gpu to fit.

I had a FX 6300 at one time and it was crappy. When I switched to Intel it was night and day performance. CX power supplies rent good for gaming rigs because they're truly weak. They like to melt and kill systems because the power delivery is garbage.

Amd is fine for gaming, especially for cheap rigs. The CX are cheap, but deliver fine power as long as you've got more than you need. Where they struggle is when you try to draw 580w on a 600w psu lol

go with the i5. i7 is overkill for gaming, unless you want just a little better performance, because in games, you won't really notice the difference.

I was wondering, what are people's thoughts on Window 10 upgrade?? Is it worth it in your opinion?

My opinion is that I like 10 over 8.1 anyday. I would much rather stick with 7 though. In all honesty it just boils down to personal preference. As far as being " worth the upgrade " it depends on what versioN your using now and if you do upgrade be sure it's the 64 bit version.

I've been doing some research.. I guess I'll make a decision here in the next few days.

Windows 7 is outdated. Windows 10 is better than 7, that's coming from someone who loved 7.

So i have a question What should i upgrade on my pc.. I have a 170$ (CAD) budget And at the moment I have a asrock ddr2 lga 775 motherboard And My cpu is a core 2 duo e8400 At 3,00ghz And A stock intel heatsink. And 4gb of ddr2 ram. My gpu is a gt630 2gb And it works pretty well! I dont know what i should upgrade Because i have a small budget. Im not really looking for pc masterace specs But i would like to get good qualityish Graphics And good fps when i am Streaming and recording. At the moment I get a average 40/60 fps in rigs of rods And 30/40 fps in ats on medium settings With 300% scaling. Let me know What would be the best upgrade. the most i can spend is 190$ And another thing i would like is being able to run some bigger title games!

Honestly, just keep saving up until you can afford a complete overhaul. Save up a few hundred dollars more and you can get a really good pc for around $400-500. You could get some better deals this way as well, look for cpu+mobo combos, etc.
