Is there really much of a difference between windows 7 and 8 for a gaming pc? or is it just bogus and might as well go with 7 64 bit that i'm use to on 2 pc's. Would ultimate be anymore useful then home eddition? And is farm sim 2015 and spin tires really for the money 60$ for both? My pc spec: MSI z87 GD65 Gaming, picked up for 120$ MSI GTX 770OC G Skills Sniper 2133 DDR3 Ram 2x4 for 8gb 40$ HX850i power supply Have a 1tb harddrive but going to get a SSD for OS and certain games Asus VG248QE Monitor Still have to get my cpu, looking at a I7-4770k and h100i cpu cooler. Perhaps another 970 in the future for SLI So, You`re saying that You need i7, gtx 970 and 850 power supply for... farm sim 2015 and spin tires?

No I was just wondering if those games are worth getting at all I mean they are 30$ a piece. And my specs are for other games as well. Like csgo, battlefield, Starcraft 2, eve online and etc....

FS is, spintires is too imo, but i'd wait and see if the summer sale cheapens them up a bit.

I paid 20 for spintires. It's a fun game because of a ton of mods. You can do offroad trucking, 4x4 exploring, 4x4 tough trails (good user made maps for this ) and mudding of course!

Ok guys i need some help!! Im new to this site. Love the mods you fellas do amazing work. Well i downloaded some mods and the really high detailed trucks make it lag pretty bad to the point i dont use them. These are the specs of my desktop its a e-machines 19" HD 1440x900 pixel resolution. 2650e processor 1.61GHz. 869 MB of RAM. (Thats the info i found about my computer). Please help i want To use these amazing mods but this is keeping me from doing it! Just moved this guy's post to the correct thread. You probably need more Ram, and a better processor, but changing and upgrading those, you may need an extra power supply. i'm not that much of an expert, there are people here who are truly geek. Colonel. what would you think of those specs?

So should I technically be able to run haulin on high with this? AMD Quad-Core A8-6410 Accelerated Processor with AMD Radeon R5 graphics Feature up to 8448MB total available video memory

If I'm not mistaken, Haulin will only run 'high' reflections on Nvidia cards. I'm running dual 7970's and I'm still stuck with cube maps...

You can drop a DLL file from an older driver into the game directory to play on high reflections. But that only worked up to a certain driver number, and only worked up to a certain graphics card model. Hardly worth mentioning because those graphics card models are long gone.

I've been having major issues my main hard drive died so I replaced it reinstalled windows via flash drive my and installed all my drivers it lasted about 2 days and the new hard drive started ticking and and the computer constantly froze and crashed well I replaced that one and reinstalled windows using the same flash drive and started freezing and hanging at the boot logo upon restart after installing the drivers this went on for about a week and I reinstalled windows and it worked fine for about 2 days and the hard drive once again started ticking so I checked all my connections replaced my power supply and the hard drive again same issues instantly after install of the os so I replaced my mother board and still the issue continues I've put several pcs to gather installed os's 100s of times with no issues I don't think it's something I'm doing wrong but I'm not ruling that out my bios are setup correctly I'm at a loss of any one has any ideas it would be very much appreciated

#guessagain
You can upgrade the ram, hard drives, and the cpu even. Just not the gpu as of yet, i hear talks that they are working on a way to make it upgradable.....which probably means removing the motherboard since its built in to it lol

It's your money, and I've kindof been out of the tech game for a few months so the new stuff isn't on my radar. Tbh, alienware isn't my thing, but they've been around a long time and a lot of people like them, if it fits your needs and budget, go for it. Especially if it's got some upgradability that's a big plus!
