Can't really do much with that. It's a slim tower, I've never seen any GPUS for slims. Best bet is to take it to a local pc shop, tell him your budget, and see what he can do. $300 is not much to work with, and personally I'm not an expert at all on low end systems or parts.

I said that about 8 and 8.1 because they suck, but windows 10 from what I've seen and heard, is basically just a fast 7 with upgrade ui that looks almost identical. No more tiled start menu crap, they kept the search function from 8 which was actually really cool. It's lightning fast and even faster on ssds. I'll upgrade to it eventually most likely.

Alright, so I finally got around to saving up some money for a better PC. Now, I currently have a GTX 280 card. Plenty fine for me as I only play 18 WoS Haulin' and CoD 4. Now my question is, can someone help me pick a mobo? I was looking at this one because it was suggested in a basic build but it seems people have trouble with the BIOS: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CX4MUCC/ref=ask_ql_qh_dp_hzaI need a ATX AM3+ mobo around this price range...if this is a good one I'll go with it but I was seeing if their are other, better ones for the same price because I honestly have no idea what to look for when shopping for motherboards.

Do You need AM3+ because You already have a AMD processor? Will or can You change that GTX 280 for better one? Gigabyte is ok, but do You really need 2 PCIs slots and up to 32GB memory. I don`t think so.

I don`t think so. Yes, I'm getting the FX-6300 and I mean if I need to I could probably change it but the GTX 280 runs CoD 4 and 18 WoS Haulin just fine and those are the only two games I ever play so I feel upgrading my graphics card would be pointless. I also need it to be a ATX/Micro ATX because that's what my tower I'm getting supports. What motherboard do you suggest?

Hey guys im actually looking at building my first ( decent gaming rig ) if you want to call it that. I have an HP tower about 7/8 years old I think its a 6380 tower. I want to strip it clean inside and build a whole new setup.
Any recommendations for this ? Should I get a different tower or what ? I dont want to go insanely expensive with it.
Disregard that question. I have found a site with some good info on custom first time builds. Im gonna be looking into it some more but any advice and or tips you guys could offer would be great.

If you have a budget I could put together a parts list for you. I've built two systems so far, and I've torn apart my current one a few times. Usually, if you're building a new pc it's wise just to get another case because the old hp cases are for micro motherboards. Also those cases have terrible airflow with 1 out take fan.

Its probably not 100% accurate but I have been using it and double checking things and its pretty damn close.

My Evga Nvidia 750 GTX graphics card came today with no disk, so i assume i download the drivers off the evga website or Nvidia? I have an evga 560 and have ever only used Nvidia for driver. They say you get the best performance from the drivers built for the card. But others will tell you to,always use the most recent. My card is 4 years old and i reverted back to the drivers built for it a year ago. And look at my pics.
