well im going to buy a camera next paycheck so i can stop using my phone lol and i might be able to record and show everyone how to backup in a single shot anywhere and how to properly float gears ;D haha Show em how it's done. And make a little vid for dom to keep his foot off that damn clutch. Backup in a single shot? Crazy but it's possible when an owner op teaches you. ROFL! How is it any different if the guy that teaches you owns the truck, or just works for a company and teaches you?

An o/o will teach you how to drive correctly and take care of the truck. Has more time on the job knows more.

backing up in one shot is not about the people that teached it you, its about your day.
today i made it in one shot on our yard, yesterday i needed two.
it's depending on how much space you have and what truck you drive.
you dumbasses act like truckin is something you can just learn from some 36 year old 60 year truckin experience veteran. fuck y'all, it's not about who teaches you, it's about to know the basics, a owner op can only stand there and say "left, right, left" same as a teacher, so fuck it who teach you the bascis, you need to make it your self.

Right on And still remember, no matter what teacher you had/have, some learn it quick some need a bit more time and some just never get it

Your right on how your day is aspect. If i got screwed on a run shit i'll be pissed. But if everything goes smoothly than your concentrating more on getting into that spot right. Your right on with being on your own. There isn't an instructor telling you when to shift or when to pull up. That's all you. After the schooling is done no matter who taught you. You have alot to learn on your own. Right now im essentially learning basics. And so is everyone else here except for those who really truck. But you learn basics by just hanging out and not trying to be a know it all. Some of you think that you've mastered trucking because you know the regulations. If it was up to me. We'd all be running loose leaf logs and everyone knew how to scribble those log books. But those regs are only the paperwork side. There's another part of trucking alot of us don't see. Lumpers asshole brokers load rejections cut throat rates. I know how to put it in first and back up and watch my mirrors. Basics which the instructor teaches. But if i get out there i'll have to learn how to fill out bills of lading myself fuel receipts my self. Luder proves a damn good point. An instructor is an instructor all teach the same thing sure some teach differently but eh. Sure im learning from my dad differently than you would learn at a community college but were all going to do the same which is drive.

Hey luder do you ever haul those open top containers? In my whole 9 Months I guess now, as I do can haulin I got one single OT can. Mainly 40 HC is the daily business, sometimes 40DC and less 20ft. Tomorrow i got 2 20ft cans, may haul them at once, depends on how much they weight. As far as I know yet one will be loaded with batterys, so I have to check how much it will be and decide then. But hopefully i can take them both at once, so I dont have to drive twice lmfao.

Ive seen those open top containers. Ive seen the guy that showed dad the ropes at the port hauling an open top with i think loader tires. You could see them just a bit. I'll have to at least get a few pics of the cans over here. These chassis have tube tires with spokes.

OT cans are cool, all you do is park where the customer it want to be parked, then go sleep. lmfao. OT's getting sealed twice, one for the doors and one for the tarp. My customer told me "dont worry about anything, we'll do all by us self." they showed me where i can buy coffee and where the toiletts are and stuff like that and told me they will wake me up as soon as they finished loading and having done paper work. so i closed my curtains and sleeped for a while, but couldn't do long, since i wanted to know what the fuck they are doing lmfao. the only bitch on these containers is the tarp, you gotta check it pretty carefully for holes. it's not like a normal can where you see holes easily due the light coming trough it.

Tarps are just a pain in some cases. If the can is sealed then too bad you can't just open it to check for light inside. And there's no way of climbing up there.

If it's sealed (to be in clean and o.k. condition) i wouldn't bother anyway. But I never got a empty and sealed can yet, just a lot with old broken seal lmfao. Never seen one too with a "german seal", I don't even believ theres any where a company checking containers and sealing them around in germany.

Finished filling out my dispatch and waiting for my TC to get ready so we could head out, so decided to grab a quick shot. Inside an armored up Freightliner M915A3
