I know this is an old forum and an old game but I’ve bin always curious if 18 wheels of steel works on windows 10,I’ve had it installed once but the game glitched, after second startup it would keep crashing, I never asked about it on this site and wonder if anyone ever found out how to do it some feed back would be great!

Works fine, run as admin... Pretty useless thread tbh, I run mine via steam. Never had a issue, apart from my g29 won’t let me use my pedals, which is rather a joke. Unless I’m being a complete idiot as always...

Not really the right board to be posting this in, but yes. I'm running windows 10 with the original disc version of Haulin' with the 1.06 patch. Runs just fine on my system, without admin mode I might add.
I don't know how familiar you are with the typical hangups that Haulin' has, but they're mainly hardware related. Pretty much if you're running anything other than an AMD graphics card, then you should be just fine.
Let us know what exact problem you're having and post your prism3d.log and we'll see what we can do.

Went ahead and moved the post to the appropriate area.
As far as compatibility, it works fine for me on Windows 10 also. Recently took my 579 combo for a spin.

Unless I’m being a complete idiot as always... Call it useless if you want.. but for someone who actually enjoyed haulin I’d love to start playing it again since I have the computer to run it just always crashes on me after start up, full screen I run graphics high and also run as admin but still crashes after I select a load and hit play game loads half way then just shits the bed, no mods installed Not really the right board to be posting this in, but yes. I’m pretty sure I actually am running a Redon graphics card, if I’m correct, I ran the game as admin made it high priority as well, after the game installed I put all graphics to max and full screen, I’d run it first time after install and it would work then crash if I can remember correctly, then after I tried to run it for a second time I’d get half way through the loading screen after picking a load and it would only load half way then crash on me for some reason, this I throughly know because it was the reason why I uninstalled the game because it just kept crashing at the same place every time, running absolutely zero mods to. Thank you! 🙏 honestly figured that was the best place didn’t exactly know where to post so I appreciate that! Not really the right board to be posting this in, but yes. American truck simulator is kind of getting a bit old and just want to switch it up, I also never really thought of making a thread way back asking about this but the best or what ever advice you can give me on this situation I’d greatly appreciate it!

True about the quad posting but it is a legit question. Could be worse. I don't see an issue with him asking this question, it just needed to be posted in the correct area. rammit , please make sure to keep all your quotes within posted. Double posting, not to mention quad posting, is highly unrecommended unless the last post you made was hours or days old.

Rammit there was no need to go from 0-10 at the drop of a dime. Darrell may have been a little straight forward with his answer but it damn sure didn't warrant your response. I suggest you tone down the attitude and learn to handle criticism or you won't be a part of this forum for much longer.

If you're unsure, then the prism3d.log will tell you since it lists the detected hardware and software it's dealing with. If you really are running a Radeon card, then that's going to cause one main issue in particular, and that's your reflection quality. The reflections when set to high rely on opengl to render them, whereas Radeon cards mainly only work with DirectX (I think, don't quote me on that I haven't run a Radeon card in 8 years). SCS didn't fix this until Extreme Trucker. The typical symptom is crashing while loading the map but still being able to launch and go through the main menu since high reflections aren't turned on there. The easiest workaround is just to keep reflection quality set to low, if you don't mind dealing with how it looks. The other fix I've seen is some dll you can drop into the game's main folder, but I wouldn't know where to find it since I haven't needed it. I'm not sure what would cause crashes during regular unmodded gameplay though. If it happens again then we'll come to that later.

I’ll definitely give these few suggestions a try and I’ll let you know how it goes. The reflection thing tho I didn’t know at all so it may actually work if I keep the reflection set to low and try that as well again thanks 🙏

I should’ve took it in a different matter but the past is the past and I’m willing to move on an fair enough I understand. Honestly I haven’t even tried it yet, I haven’t had the motivation to even turn my computer on lol 😂 American truck sim kept crashing and my pc is kind of running slow and it needs to be cleaned out but I don’t want to because my files for ats are so big and I have so many pv mods and other mods that Id need a USB that has a Terabyte or more, and if they’re’s no such thing then I’d need like 4 usb or more idk lol 😂 but ya it’s a lot of mods
