Alright this thing needs soooo much work, but before I go any further with it, I want to fix the paint issues. It's supposed to be a real nice white color (as you see in many M2's) but for whatever reason, I can't get it to look that way. What am I doing wrong? Here's what I want it to look like: And here's what it actually looks like:

To me it looks like you're gonna have to tweak your mat files

I'll see if I have done when I get home it's the ones I use for my trucks. Well actually it's from Steve's classic. If you have that try using the body paint mats. Hopefully that helps

Your reflection texture looks kinda fucked too. Not to mention the normals are all over the place.

Honestly, you should probably remake the model. I know that sounds harsh, but if you don't get the normals right when you make it, it's fucking hard as hell to get them right afterwards. I know, I've had to remake some models I've done because I fucked them up.

All depends on the mesh. Sometimes it's the way the vertices are aligned and welded. Sometimes breaking and rewelding works, sometimes you have to add polies, sometimes you have to remake the part. Really all depends on how much is wrong, what's causing it, and how much time you want to spend fixing versus remaking.

Also bear in mind that you can calculate the normals on an active selection of vertices, edges, or faces. You can 'prioritize' certain geometry this way. For example, my axles have a one face chamfer on what is otherwise a square cross-section. If I calculate the normals on the whole object, it comes out looking cylindrical. If I then select the 'flat' surfaces and calculate again, they end up flat and the fillets look round despite actually being flat.
Also bear in mind you can use the scale tool along with axis selections to tweak normals. This is handy if the other options make something look too round or too flat with no middle ground. Zmod also used to have a 'normals tuner' for this but it was buggy so Oleg fixed it by removing it.
Edit: still has the normals tuner. I'm just a moron.

The normals are fine in Blender, but Zmod screws with stuff I find sometimes. I think a lot of it has to do with my MAT files and reflections, because there are times when it doesn't look like that
