Has anyone else noticed performance issues since we started allowing any resolution size images? I've been using the forum this past month on google chrome, firefox, and opera and all of them give me scroll lag in the screenshots threads, with firefox performing the best and chrome performing the worst. Of course this all happens after the page has loaded.
Don't worry, I have no plans on putting in new image rules. I just need to thoroughly test it and contact proboards to see why it does that if anyone else has that issue. I'm adding a poll to this thread. If you vote in the poll, please make a post and tell me why you chose your answer and what browser you use. If you don't tell me what browser you use and you just vote anyways, I will disregard your vote.

I chose my answer because, often, I have to sit for 30-60 seconds before my browser starts to function properly after the page has loaded. I'm running Google Chrome.

A get like a tiny bit of lag after the page finishes loading as I scroll through the screens threads. It's not to the point where it would take forever to load though. I'm on Google Chrome.

I said no, but however, I do experience lag on high res renders like mine and steves keyshot renders even though they are in a small viewing res..

I saw the title of this thread and thought maybe there was some adult conversation going on in here. Was ready to get all hornery and such lol. But to comment on the topic. I only use Firefox and I experience no lag at all. I never have. Not even with larger res pics. My IP is not horrible but Time Warner is far and away the best IP around.

I chose sometimes, reason being is at times I do experience a little lag, but that it depends on where the picture is linked from, other than that it works flawlessly. It's not bad enough where I can't stand it, it's fast enough for me. I am on Chrome.

Nope. Sure there's the occasional photo that takes a bit, but it's usually pretty fast.

Like I said though, chrome seems to have the worst performance out of all them. Just try it by going into the screens threads, scroll down as fast as possible and the larger images always make the scrolling skip. I'm using firefox right now and get very little of that compared to chrome. I just want the auto resizing to do it's job properly. What screen res are you guys running at? Maybe it's because I'm running 1920x1080.....

I noticed for a little while it was god awful slow on my iPhone, but that seems to have greatly improved as of late.
