Alright guys, so first of all, this may belong in a question thread. If it does, I'm very sorry. Second of all, I need some advice about this truck I'm working on. I'm trying to make everything accurate as far as year and model, but the problem is, it's kinda hard to decipher what model this is? So is this a 4964 or a 4900, and what year approximately? Here's the fender if that's any help. And the top of the hood. I know that's not the greatest identifying feature. The reason I am asking is because the model is from 3d warehouse and is only labeled as a Western Star Daycab with no model designation. Now one other thing I noticed from the original model is that it has a single air cleaner on the right hand side with the hose angling out from it. So it's not one of the newer ones with the air cleaner pipe hidden. (I know there is a better name for that part, but I can't remember it off the top of my head. ) Anyways, I am leaning towards something like this, but want to get some official confirmation before proceeding. The top of the hood does look a bit different on that truck, though. Harumph.

The real life picture you posted is the heritage cab western star 4964f, made until the mid-late 90's
Your model is a 4900ex since it has the extra bit of hood. Except the model you have there looks off scale.
If your intention is to make the 4964f, you'd have to use rowan's autocar cab.

Alright, so that's why I asked. I think I'll go with just the regular 4964 look. Now, Chris, by off-scale, what do you mean exactly? Which part is off-scale? It's easy to fix now since I'm not done. Thanks.

The fenders seem a little small.

Oh my! Alright, well thanks guys for pointing out the scaling issue. There were actually two problems with the scaling. First of all, the entire model was too large. For some reason, I had it at over 3 meters wide instead of something around 2.59 (Blender's english measuring system doesn't work the greatest, so I have to do everything in metric). Second of all, the hood was too tall, and that's why the fenders looked too small. Once I was able to get the whole model to the correct size, the measurements I found online started to make sense, and now I'm closer than ever to 1:1 scale. So here's the fixed version. tell me if it's still off-scale, but it should be much better now. Thanks Colonel and Chris for pointing this out.

Ok, yeah, that's the two things I'm concerned about.
I think I'm fine for now, and hopefully, I'll be able to make better models 100% by myself some day.
Thanks, though. I really appreciate that.
