I downloaded some good-quality 3d models from Sketchup. After some editing in Blender and scripting in GE, I figure they'll make great mods. However, I have a big problem. I can't contact the original modelers no matter how I try, and I've tried everything: social media, email, Youtube messages, and comments in the ratings section of their models. One of the modelers said that someone could use his stuff without asking, but I want to hear it straight from him. And the other one, I can't get a hold of in any way. Does anyone know whether or not you have to get expressed permission from a Google Warehouse modeler to use a 3d model in one of your mods? I could just make the models myself, but that would take a lot more time, and with my issues with learning 3d modeling, could result in something quite ugly or error-filled. I will list all sources of textures, models, and scripts in the credits section, but I was just wondering if I'm allowed to release the mod in the first place without permission from the modeler. Anyways, hope someone can clear me up cause I'm feeling a little cloudy.

I think the intentions of putting models up for people to download, is for people to actually use them, as long as you give proper credit to the author. As long as you include the author's name in the list of credits, I think you're totally fine.

Ok. I think you're right.
Well, I guess that will make modding a bit easier.
Thanks for the reply.
