Well, as many of you all know, an F5 tornado tore through Moore, OK last monday. I've grown used to these, but I was almost 5 the last major one we had in 1999 so some of it is still hitting me. This last one came less than a mile from my house. Throughout the last week, I've gotten some pictures of the damage that's pretty amazing. This is the shit they won't show you on the news. Link to the album: s1204.photobucket.com/user/JakeBrake379/library/May%2020%202013%20Moore%20OK%20Damage?sort=3&page=1This was a neighborhood: Came across I-44, knocked over an old bridge onto the 44 bridge. View from I-35 This was a 7-11. The same place that a little over a year ago I took the bottom picture of my friend's 2000 379. It's literally total devistation in the direct hit areas. Some parts of town that you're used to driving through every day you can't anymore because the National Guard is ID'ing people to make sure they belong. The 7-11, 3 people were lost inside that, including a mother and her less than 2 month old baby. It's literally only a matter of time before your house is the one that's hit. My old house, 2 doors down is leveled...all some of these people have are splinters and some pictures and the clothes off their back. Every church and some schools are now shelters, it's hard but just like this town has for decades, we'll rebuild.

Holy Crap, I Thought the news was supposed to give you all the information you can get, But apparently not. These pictures look horrible (not crappy horrible like crazy horrible lol) I've been through a few Cat 5 hurricanes but never had damage like those pictures. Hope all of your family is alright! Prayers to everyone out there!

All of my family and friends (and their families) made it through ok, which is all that really matters anyways. It's still shocking though...I was inside that 7/11 two hours before the storm...Local farm down the road from my house, kind of a "Fun Farm" type thing, they have petting zoos, a stocked pond and a train that runs around the property....anyways...they lost about 50 horses in the storm. Like I said it's still just shocking....this morning I left for work thinking "Oh I'll get coffee at the 7/11......well the 7/11 isn't there anymore...

Seen a truck fitting that description that pulls a tanker locally but not a dump truck. I'll keep an eye out for it.

Unbelievable. Well, I hope that that are recovers as soon as physically possible. I don't know if that is realistic, given the extent of the damage, but some level of normalcy is definitely needed for these people.

Spent most of the night in the cellar and the driveway. All we got was a shit load of wind, rain and hail. Tore a few trees out of the ground too. Worst wind I have ever seen in my life. I'll see what damage there is that's new. Everyone made it through this time too. There were 9 truck drivers on 40 that had to be rescued from their trucks. My dad's St. Louis meet guy was pissed because he had already left and no one told him about the tornadoes. Our Estes terminal manager here closed the terminal and told everyone stay home unless he said otherwise. We're all back to work tomorrow though. They closed 35, 44 and 40. First time I've seen every major highway closed.
