First of all this isn't a spam message. Its by me so don't delete it ;D Anyway, this site is RIDICULOUS. I really don't even believe in these types of things, like winning Xboxs for free and shit like that, but this is NO Hoax. Basically what it is is a penny bidding site. You bid on things like Iphone 3g's, 100 dollar gift cards to bestbuy, Nintendo Wii's, a whole lot of shit. The price goes up a penny when you bid. When you sign up, you get 5 free bids, so you can go crazy with them. Only thing is, its competition. Every bid that's going on is LIVE. Its really hard to explain. People are winning flat-screen TV's for 2 dollars, Blenders for 50 cents, its crazy. Kinda to good to be true. Sign up here and get 5 free bids: www.bidray.com/vip/cedric1339And you can refer your friends and get an additional 5 free bids also Some winners. www.bidray.com/community.phpHeres where I found out about it, and he'll show you what hes won.

Yeah, that's a scam. The ONLY way you will ever win something for nearly anything is through legit contests through large companies. And the only way to get a new tv for 20 dollars is by getting one from a crackhead who stole it in someone's house. If this is true, it's for a reason and there's something not right about it.
Edit: You don't actually win the item for anywhere like $20.00, it costs like a buck per bid and each bid racks the overall price up by a penny. So you get a tv starting at $0 and get 800 bids, the price will be $800+ whatever the item costs.

Thats where free bids come in. If you win something that cost 2.40 with your free bids, then you only pay that for the item.
Also, you don't have to bid everytime, only bid when you think nobodys gonna bid anymore so you don't waste your bids.
The reason why this site is possible is because it makes a WHOLE lot of money. Lets say the TV started out at 0. People start bidding. Well, now its at 1.00. Thats 100 bids people put in, and if they actually paid 20 dollars to get 20 bids, bidray just made a dollar. So a dollar for each bid, you do the math. Its not really a scam on your part, its just they're getting so much money.
And its not like you get the item for free, you actually have to buy it for the final cost that it went for.
So from buying bids, and bidding, bidray is making a pretty penny ;D

It's a scam, nothing in life is free and nobody is your buddy or watching out for you.
Let me try it this way: If your local church or other organization collected $12,000 in a raffle, do you think it's likely that they would actually send you the $5,000 motorcycle that they offered as a raffle prize?
Well, yes, because they collected $12,000 in raffle tickets, therefore, they can well afford to buy the $5,000 motor cycle and send it to you. They still made $7,000.
You, the buyer, are not paying for the item with the auction end amount. That is the lovely distracting thing - like a magician's assistant wearing about two square inches of clothing. It's purpose is to distract you while the money disappears elsewhere.
The item is being paid for by the costs of all the people who are paying $1 for each bid that they make. Each bid raises the shiny and distracting final value of the item by a penny.
If a $100 item ends at $2.36, Bidray still makes over $138 even if they buy the item at full retail price. That's because everyone who shelled out money to bid on it - all together, every single bidder - shared in paying a total of $236 to bid on the item.
If you buy on Bidray.com, you aren't taking advantage of Bidray - you're taking advantage of all the other buyers who bid on the auction and lost. They paid the money that you did not.
Not only that, they (all together) paid far more than the item was worth. So it's not just like you and your friend each contributed $50 toward a $100 item and decided that the person who flipped heads would get to keep it.
It is like you and three friends each contributed $50 toward a $100 item - rolled a die, one of you kept the item, and the seller got an $100 for the item PLUS an extra $100 just cause y'all paid it into the pot.
If this somehow sounds sane, go bid on Bidray. You are almost certain to get the item that you bid on and win.
Just try to remember, however, that for a system like this to work, a whole bunch of people have to be losing money when they don't win auctions - and a lot of the time that loser is going to be you.

Exactly. People ARE wasting money, which I don't really get. They should know that somebody else is gonna come in and bid on a 100 dollar giftcard thats at .50 cents. i still have 4 bids left because its a strategy. And the bids are paying for the item, which, I would think everybody knows that that signs up. And yea, they make a WHOLE lot of money, but that doesn't mean your not saving a whole lot. It does. But that doesn't mean you don't win for that price. People build it and build it, bidding at the last second to keep the price as low as possible. I see a pretty TV that I want, and the bid is at 0.01. People start bidding on it, rasing the price buy a penny. Well, I can sit back and just wait untill I think its gonna die down, which would be at about 2 dollars or so. What people do is buy a ton of bids, then at this sweet spot(2-3 dollars), start throwing all of their bids in at the last second. So they might waste about 10 before they actually win it, if they do. Its still worth it because if they spent 20 dollars on the bids, and wasted all of them to buy a $700 TV, you only paid $20 plus the cost of the bid, which would probably be about a few dollars. I can care less at how much money bidray makes, as long as im saving tons of money, im fine. And on top of that, its kind of like a "store". You can buy 50 bids if you want, and waste them on a TV at the last second. If you win? You brought the TV for damn near a third of what it actually costs. And if everybody that bid on that tv bid with free bids, well bidray didn't make a dime other than what your actually paying for it. It sounds like a scam, but when you actually look at it, and how much money they make, you can clearly see they can afford the stuff they're giving away.

I'm not really trying to prove it's a scam or anything. You know what it is? it's gambling. Just remember, once you start paying for these bids, they will add up, it's like going to vegas with $12,000 and coming home and bragging how you won $10,000 at the poker table when in reality you're short of that $2000.
It's not like you're not going to recieve the stuff either. He makes a killing off his website, he wouldn't ruin the reputation because of some items he made triple what he paid for it.
And cedric, you won't be saving money unless you use those 5 free bids and actually win something. People are not dumb, EVERYONE will be doing that to try to win. And it's not like 5 people go on there and bid. It's in the hundreds. Whoever tried conning you into going there is obviously being paid for it.

Well...... it's just stupid altogether. You sit there betting, and people keep bumping it up more money right at the last second. I checked some finished prices, and a few people paid more for the shit than you'd get it on ebay for. This is basically the jist of it: you pay money for bets. You frustratingly make sad attempts to bet on stuff, while other people just keep bumping up the price at the last seconds. The price ends up nearly the same as the retail price sometimes, occasionally slightly cheaper. Even so, everyone except the guy who owns it is losing money, he doesn't lose a single penny for any item I assure you. This reminds me of a pyramid scheme, except you can't call it a pyramid scheme because 1 person out of so much hundreds of people "wins" the item. It's you and the rest of the bidders who are buying it, the owner literally doesn't lose any money, infact he makes more than retail stores probably do on the merchandise. It's a moral issue too......other people are paying their own money so you can get something cheaper. And if it's not a scam now, it certainly will get to that point once it gets more popular.
I can list more reasons, but I don't feel like it anymore. If you're not getting ripped off personally and you wanna do it, then go for it. But remember, this is more like a game than anything.
Oh and one more thing, they donate the cost of the item that you pay. Not the bids. That means if you pay $300 for a huge ass tv or something that's worth way more, and the cost price of the tv that you won was only $5, they will donate the $5 and keep the $300 for themselves. You might also want to check your state laws for gambling laws or raffles.
And I have to ask before I end this post, if you really get these items for this cheap, where do these people get the money to throw away? they must be making a ton of cash, or it's a scam. I wouldn't even classify that as being crazy, it just wouldn't happen. It's fishy.

Here's some more information on the site for you guys. I just skimmed over it, so I don't have any opinions if it's a scam or not, but here's some information I found on the web from the owner.
Some of this was already summed up somewhat above, but just thought I'd add it here.

After reading that Scott, makes me feel even better about the site. The price ends up nearly the same as the retail price sometimes, occasionally slightly cheaper. I haven't see not one thing on that site that went for retail or even a quarter of the retail price. Thats why when try to sign up, if you live in certain states(Louisiana for example) you aren't allowed to sign up. And I have to ask before I end this post, if you really get these items for this cheap, where do these people get the money to throw away? they must be making a ton of cash, or it's a scam. I wouldn't even classify that as being crazy, it just wouldn't happen. It's fishy. Thats the thing, they SERIOUSLY are making tons. If you see something for a dollar, bidray basically made 100 dollars off of that, unless everybody that bid had free bids, which is just freakin genius. Like the owner said, its a auction concept thats perfect, and it works for everyone. Long story short, its gambling, and just like in a casino, your chancing it. The payout is big, but the cost to get that payout might be bigger. All in all, this site is genius, and i'll probably stay on it untill i run out of free bids ;D

i had a friend who worked for the Allison plant years ago...he used to raffle off his paycheck every week...back then, he probably brought home about a $500 a week (a lot of money in those days)...he'd sell chances for $10 and would usually sell 2 or 3 hundred tickets...do the math...

You guys are young, in a few years you'll be making the better bucks. Last year my 2 week cheque was usually around $2400 sometimes more, which is a damn lot for me. Also, you gotta live in a city that's in a consistent boom like I do. Some of my friends were making $12,000 per month.

That's nothing though compared to what the guys make who are higher up, who sit at a desk all day. I know this one guy, he's been in the oil business for about 15 years (he's been doing it since he was 18) and he makes a rediculous amount of money. I have no idea how much, but he owns his own house, lives by himself, owns like 3 expensive cars..... you get the idea. I figure he must make close to 30k per month, because my ex girlfriends dad makes 20k a month and he's in a lower position than my friend is. Granted this guy doesn't have the easiest job in the world, he's occasionally flown by his company to all sorts of oil rigs on and off shore around the world. You don't even wanna know how much those undersea welders make...... let's just say we're all in the wrong business ced, lol.

"Undersea welders - You need a high school diploma and the ability to swim, but training schools such as the Commercial Diving Academy will teach you how to dive -- while carrying a 185-amp arc welder into the Gulf of Mexico or off the West African coast. A boom in oil exploration -- and a decade of hurricanes -- has made pipeline repair and oil rig platform maintenance a growth industry. $17 to $20 an hour right out of school; twice that amount three years later. Jesus shit, and you lot bitch about that?! (America and Canada in general) My Dad's been a Mechanic for 20 years and he's on about $13 per hour, my mother is a secretary, personal assistant and book-keeper all rolled into one and she is on about $11 an hour... and that's average for here. So each month they take home somewhere around $2300 and $2000, or around $27,000 and $24,000 per year. In USD.
