It boils down to if you are judging based on the quality of the truck, or the quality of the screenshot. A "screenshot of the year" based on graphics or whatever seems like a good idea, but the winner of the best truck competition should be the guy with the coolest rig, not the guy with the most advanced shaders or jaggies. Perhaps voting guidelines should be established to remind people of that. Yes, you are right. this change was for people who want to stick to 'old ones' and orientate themselves not forwards. That the plays available here in more different liga play, should be confessed to everybody. Finds with the evaluation of the show of this assessment, should be given.

In a decision between graphics vs. gameplay, y'all choose graphics. I still don't quite like GTS's gameplay, it's just not as comfortable. The best feature about haulin is the ability to own a trailer fleet. No other game has that. Not even GTS. Plus the retarded "class" system with the trucks, and the stiffness of the interior camera bothers the hell out of me. SCS should just go back to the good ol' truck list that you could add more trucks to if you wanted to and just change accessories around, not this dumb ABC class (that is, if they haven't gone back to that already in ETS2) I would normally consider going up to GTS, but really I don't want to drive American rigs on a non-American style map. If I really wanted to build one myself, I would try, but I really don't think I would have an easy time with it. I still struggle with doing a decent map edit in haulin. Stfu about graphics and claiming that converting to GTS will upgrade the quality of your rig, it won't. (Not trying to single anyone out if you're wondering) Mostly because most of you still don't know how to make your reflections work right. They look just like haulin's reflections, where all it reflects is the sky and ground, and maybe the occasional building or ai vehicle. I find it ironic that y'all don't like the more realistic reflections that vegetation and other major stuff shows up in. Sorry about the rant, I probably don't have much room to talk in the first place, but the point is, this is a TRUCK show, not a graphics show. What do I think? Post your truck in whatever game you want, the idea is to judge based on the effort put into the truck, whether or not it pays off in the end, if it appeals to the crowd, etc. Enough of this graphics/physics/memory block bullshit.

If jaggies and quality are going to be an issue. I'll turn my quality settings down for the pics in GTS.
Should make a standard size for screens as well if people are going to bitch about quality.
Say 1440x1024

You have almost everything right ..... (SCS should take from any existing truck games as best and build a new game.) I want to spark any controversy over the quality of the games. It has always only improves the Graphic, but not the gameplay, so you're right. Everyone should use the game he loves most. I am just starting with GTS / ATS and thus currently very satisfied. Is it you and also my opinion that the truck is crucial and not Grafic. This should all be aware of. and by the way, the interior camera can be set differently, I look around me.

Yep, I can care less about graphics. I care about the quality of the truck mostly. The only reason why I like GTS better for adding my trucks is because the fov in the interiors actually looks right. And my mods don't get memory block errors. I reinstalled haulin a few weeks ago and went for a drive in my w900a, and I couldn't stand it anymore. After going through 3 crashes in 10 minutes, I just couldn't stand driving in that game, it got uninstalled immediately. If I wanted good graphics and BETTER physics, et2 would be my game. But unfortunately the montana map is too small, and for some reason none of my converts ever work. So it wasn't worth the trouble for me.
Anyways, good luck guys. I hope to see less paccar trucks this time around.

Wow. I'm having trouble read all of these posts. The main idea i had for this thread was discussing the screenshots posted or asking particular questions about the show. I didn't expect this to become a slugfest about what game looks better, which game is better, why should i use gts or haulin or et2. I just wanted a good ole fashion truck show. I'm kindof disappointed that this turned out like it did. If anyone has any questions about the truck show, please pm me or aaron. If you don't have something to say about screens that have been entered(btw you cant enter yet) then please don't post. This isn't my forum and i am not an admin but aaron and I are handling the truck show and i ask that you obey my requests. Thank you.

I'll say one last thing on it and then I ask everyone stop with the graphics mess. It's not about the graphics, it's like Chris said, quality. Just because someone doesn't have great reflections and no jagies doesnt mean their truck isn't high quality. Hell most of us don't have money to throw out for a computer thats geared towards rendering and gaming so we do with what we got. Hell, I put my laptop through the ringer sometimes when it comes to making my truck look good, but it keeps up. Now I admit I'm no where near as talented as the rest of you, but I've been around the block, all it comes down to how good you make your truck look, not how good your computer makes your truck look. Now I want everyone to judge not based on graphics...but based on quality. As for ET2, if Colonel is ok with yall posting pic's for that too then it's fine by me.
With this I ask we please stay on topic, as Colonel said, any questions can be directed to either me or Colonel. Good luck to all who enter and Merry Christmas.

Open competition to all games and have a winner from each? That way those that don't have good hardware can stick to the lower graphic games and those that have the hardware can use the more power hungry games

Well who cares if there won't be enough. This way we can settle the whole issue on which games to use.

It's supposed to be fun man. If you're worried about competing with gaming rigs or newer games then don't enter. And I'll have you know I got some pretty good graphics out of my 500 dollar hp back when. You just have to try harder.
If you have a cool rig it won't matter.

Alright guys. I know everyone wants to share their opinion, but colonel asked politely not to use this thread for this type of discussion. Colonel and aaron are in charge here so lets listen to their wishes please. Most of us shouldn't have said anything in the first place.

Guys I'm not quite sure where to send your screenshots? Or placed directly in the topic? Or send administrators show? Of course, I have time to finish the little .. Many orders were received and so unexpectedly opened the contest .. but I hope to try their hand, too)))) All the best of luck!)))
