including gifs MUST be downsized to 100x100; and no, proboards' automatic downsizing does not count.
If you want to now how big your avatar is, perform the following steps:(choose your web browser)
Right click on the image in question and click "properties"; the size and dimensions are displayed.

How to Resize a .gif image1. Find a gif you would like to resize (you can find out if it needs to be resized by using the methods described above). Copy the URL

Make sure that the "convert during upload" and "Resize during upload" buttons are not checked.For the following steps, refer to the image below:
4. Once your image is loaded into the program, press the "resize" button (1).
5. (3) Change the largest dimension to 100 (in this case it would be the width, because 500 is bigger than 247). If the "aspect ratio" button is checked, the other value with be reduced to keep your image from looking stretched.
6. If you want, you can crop your gif by pressing the "crop" button (2)
You can change the red crop box by clicking and dragging the red lines, or editing the values to the left of your picture. when your done, click "apply"
7. Once you've made your changes, notice the file size and width options in the lower left corner of the screen. it shows your image width, height and filesize, all the info you need to make sure your image complies with the TMS rules.
Notice that my cropped, resized image is much smaller than the original in file size, and it's under 250 kb so I'm good to go!
8. When you're ready, click the "save" button.

9. Add the picture URL to your TMS profile:
NOTE: If your gif is not 100x100, modify the "Avatar Height" and "Avatar Width" values to reflect that. If you do not, the image will appear stretched.
