Ti-loup has been banned by me for an incident over at the Haulin board. It seems respect has vanished from the community in the last few years.
Let this be a warning, I will not tolerate bad morals. We ask each and every one of you to have good morals on this forum, most fail, but not in extremely bad ways. This however is just unacceptable, we've asked you guys over and over again to treat mods with respect because they're some one's hard work and free time, if it's too hard for you to simply read the read me or simply ask permission of the creator to use his mod for your own needs, then you have no place on this forum.

Great now if we can just get the other game communities to respect our work too. Mainly the gta and farm sim game communities. I was asked today by a nice guy from the gta community to convert a model of mine, the second time that ever actually happened. So there are some good people out there who still care about us. All people usually ask for is permission to convert and credit for altering, unless the model is locked. That's not so hard guys.

Oh look we can express opinions. I think you guys were a little hard on him. It's not like he actually did anything and I don't agree with what he said, but I still believe he has the right to his opinion.

What actually happened? I kinda skimmed over the hotspot in the haulin screenshots section, but I saw that it flared up when KTI was mentioned

Damn I missed another fight? AAAHH!!
But yeah, there's absolutely been no respect for anything in this community for years, hence the various mods that are hacked, stolen, taken credit for, or released without permission. Then there's the irresponsible group who use that stuff and don't care how messed up it is.

Probably never gonna happen ^^ Ladies and gentleman, here I have an example of the world's best modeler and game modder. He has never used anyone else's mods, he makes all his own maps and trucks. He doesn't need our stuff. So wait, why do we need you?

It's funny how things happen in waves like rag of new members making meaningless posts or a few people getting banned. Look at to people getting temporary or long term bans in the last day or 2 but I can't remember the last ban of someone significant. I just think it's wierd.

Of someone significant? Not sure what you mean. Like, have we banned an international terrorist lately? LOL. Knapton, look bro, I know you just feel it's wrong because you are a kind person. But after a long while of putting up with shit, you get sick of people getting chances. Almost always most of the people I ever gave second chances to just came right back and did the same thing over again, or laughed behind our backs that we allowed them to stay and lifted their ban. This isn't a democratic forum anymore, a small group of us make all the decisions here and sometimes that isn't just. But we are a privately owned forum and we make our own rules apart from the terms of service we have to abide. Anyone who doesn't like those rules is either free to leave or free to break them. And if they break them, they are banned. Sorry but that's just the way it is bro. And trust me, I used to give people second chances. Not reading the rules is not going to be an excuse anymore. Especially when it comes to things people put work into and all they have is a simple request like asking. I'm sorry if you guys don't like what I'm saying here, but unfortunately it's the truth and the way things have to be done.

I was extremely impressed at the response from Joe. But what Ti Loup said was completely disrespectful. As I have discussed with a few people on here, There is a proper way to say what and how you feel without being rude. He went way off the deep end and basically told all modders to "Fuck Off". Kyle I completely understand what you are trying to say but sometimes people need to think before they type. I was bombarded with messages from Ti on my Facebook immediately after this happened and he even admitted he didn't think first and was very rude. I have always been one to express my opinions on here. I used to be a dick but was put in my place just once by Chris. Now I am sure that when I voice my opinion I do it with Tact. Point is rules are rules and they must be followed.

@ Chris-I think my second post came out wrong. By significant I meant some actually noticeably involve on the forum, not a 4 post account. And I more meant that it seems like people all do dumb things at the same time. Like sometimes 3 or 4 people through hissy fits on the forum somewhere and then nothing interesting happens for weeks. As for how you run your forum and whatnot. Don't worry it doesn't keep me up at night lol. I just like to say my opinion to feel special and important haha. Corey- I get that. I don't know why everyone gets so worked up about these things either. Lifes too short to care about a video game. I work with pricks all week long, I'm not going to be bothered with it at home. Also I like to keep my real life more or less separate from the virtual trucking community. That's why I don't post my Facebook or too many picture of myself on here. I also don't want some big tittied girl on my Facebook thinking I'm a dork with 30 tms people on my Facebook lol. It's been a lot of work becoming cool since high school, no need to ruin that.

I missed what happened, I'm not around here much, but I've seen it too many times before.
People here really can get their panties in a bunch, and sometimes it just gets really ridiculous. Why fight over a game that we all enjoy (or used to enjoy)? There are millions of rude people in the world, and expressing your own opinion is one thing....but just being hateful and putting someone, or everyone down and treating them like dirt is deserving of a punishment. To me, he's honestly just another member and this is just a place online to chat with some cool people and show off your 3D work.
knapton: your last statement, keeping your real life away from online forums, I completely agree, I do the same thing. No one on here knows who I really am, I have like 100-sumthin Facebook friends, only the people I have met in real life and actually care about.
This being said, these days, everyone thinks that they are the coolest, bestest modderer of trucks ever, which is why I kinda stepped into the shadows and don't really comment on anything much. I think that the administration on this forum makes the right decisions to keep the public from blowing up. I'm considering firing up my Haulin and playing around a little bit as I have time, and I don't wanna see bull$hit fights because everyone gets into it for someone expressing their opinion. If someone don't like a 379 because it has too big of stacks, or too many lights, let them be. They aren't bothering anyone, they are just there.

I don't know about agreeing with everything the administration does at tms, but that's kind of how life works. If it bothered me I would try to become a moderator. I never want to become an admin though. The bullshit these guys have to deal with, forget that. Props to them for putting up with us lol.

I don't usually speak up too much on anything in general really, but here is my take on the respect issues we've been discussing the last couple of days.
It's not so much people fighting over the game itself, it's about people losing sight of some basic principles of the community. A lot of hard work goes into the stuff that we use in the community, and when that hard work gets hacked, or people claim it as their own, or do not follow the terms in the read me (not picking on Joe here btw, he manned up, did the right thing and apologized) and so on, and people seem to be ok with that. That's what all this is about. When people nonchalantly blow it off and use the, "it's just a game" line, I think in a lot of cases, they're missing sight of the issues at hand.
Think of it as someone coming into your home with their muddy ass shoes and trudging through, caking mud all over everything, getting crap all over your furniture, then leaving without as much as an apology for turning your house upside down and leaving you a mess to clean up.
Kind of the same thing applies here. A lot of people do not care about the time and effort that goes into the mods, the upkeep on the forums, and just the work in general that goes into making the community a more enjoyable experience for everyone. All a lot of people care about is a download link that works, and that people tell them how to get their mods in game, and that those two processes repeat themselves on their beck and call.

Very well stated, Mr. Jason. I can attest to the upkeep and time it takes to maintain a forum, it drives you crazy dealing with all of the people all the time, that's one of the big reasons I had to shut mine down, there was not enough time for me to handle it all and my help was lacking. Non-the-less we will all move on just like normal.
Everyone does need to keep in mind the term of RESPECT, if you have something you want to say, THINK before you SPEAK. If you wouldn't want someone to say it to you, don't say it, PERIOD. All of you new people (going out to the general public here, not towards anyone) wonder why certain mods aren't released to the public, well, no one appreciates them like they used to. No one respects all of the work that goes into them.

He certainly did. When people nonchalantly blow it off and use the, "it's just a game" line, I think in a lot of cases, they're missing sight of the issues at hand. ABSOLUTELY!!! I can't tell you how many times I've hated people playing that stupid card on any argument, I honestly think it's just for anyone who want's to be the forum hero of the day and settle an argument and be proud of themselves for it... EVERYONE who uses that line has no idea whatsoever what it really means when they say that. It has its right meaning, but it's certainly not anything to do with people's work. It's the exact reason why I bitch about it whenever someone says it, they have no idea what they're talking about.
