I'm jumping at this opportunity because it seems they actually want to start being realistic.

Hello,
We are thinking of throwing out the old engine sounds that we have been using for years, and do the ultimate thing - do proper recording of all the various truck engines for the upcoming German Truck Simulator & beyond. It's a shame that some of the fan mods sound 300% better than the original game!
This is not a small or cheap thing to do right - the sound engineer needs several hours of recording with several microphones (inside and outside of the cabin). The truck needs to be driven at different speeds with different revs and different conditions, ideally in controlled environment with as little interferences from other sounds around (so it shouldn't be on a full highway). We are ready to make this investment into the quality of our future truck sims, but we are looking for any ideas or pointers for hiring trucks to do the recordings, and also for suggestion of where to perform it - a place where we'd be as little bothered by sound of other cars as possible. Any fans from Czech Republic or nearby who would be able to suggest a truck owner crazy enough to help? (We would pay for the time and fuel of course).
Ideally we need true sounds for "normal" and "high-end" engines from the following manufacturers - DAF, MAN, Mercedes, Iveco, Volvo, Scania, and Renault.
Can we turn to the fan community for help? If you are participating in other message boards than TruckPol, can you please spread around the news that we are looking for help? Thanks!
