Will i want to know what you guys think about wikileaks. Today in my speech class we had the whole 1hr and 30mins class discussions over it. Do you think its a good thing or a bad thing to release all the government documents? I think its good/bad, cause we Americans need to know what our government is up to, but bad cause they releasing crap to other countries we at war with.
So what you think?

what do you guys think the solution to the US problems,i think first to secure our borders, pull the troops back and get all the companies that moved out of the US and get them back here, and tax them less, and STOP WITH THE DAMN ASIAN CARS!! we really cant produce much of our own stuff,EVERYTHING YOU SEE IS MADE IN CHINA! because its just to expensive to manufacture in the US..........stop wasting money on things we don't need, kick up the military power again and gradually pay off the debt, once that's done we can start fixing our infrastructure, look at other countries, they have roads where vehicles run 100 mph on and yet they aren't as bad as ours. i just wanted to get my opinion out,if anyone disagrees i don't care, its only my thoughts on it. i don't want to kick up an argument though

There really is a shit load of foreign cars. I didn't really realize it. Like what the hell, you go oversees and all you see is their cars, lexus, honda. Here, the luxury car to get is Mercedes, or Lexus, or Acura. When you think luxury you don't really think Cadillac, or Chevy and Ford. Thats a huge problem that needs to be fixed. Hell not even luxury, even middle class cars. Honda and Toyota dominate.

I agree, I'm tired of looking on my products saying, "Made in China".

Because a chinaman can make the same product for an eighth of the price as an american. They don't have to pay for health care, dental benifits, there are now safety standards, environmental standards, labour laws, or general rules. Not to mention in those countries a few hundred american dollars a month and you can live like a king.

One major reason foreign products dominate US products is becsuse americans wont, and cant wrk cheep enough for businesses to make money. If cars were 100% american made they would probably cost $100000. Because foreigners will do this cheeper, quicker, and wont complain sbout what they make, all goods are made from them. And even at that. Foreign vehicles are built better, more budget friendly, and more profitable, therefore they havea rep for themsrlves. Around here most farmers hire mexicans to help harvest and fish crawfish. They work from dawn til dusk for 5 an hour. Happy as csn be no complaints. Reason being? My dad works with a guy originaly from honduras. His bro is s truck drivrr there. If he works a GOOD day, he makes a total of $1. Nuff said. Our felloe americans are spoiled and wont settle for minimum wage( i dont blame them) because we see what can be made out there. With thst being said its rven sadder to see half the damn population sitting st home drawing a check... That the working man has to pay for. Sure SOME deserve that check, but the far majority are just down right lazy bum ass people. And if you dont believe me about mexicans being happy working cheep. Just PM Mike and ask him... haha. Ill add some more notes to this. Our great president obama in my opinion is why this country is in debt. This man we call the president is LOANING money from other countries.. As far as im upto date, we are in 13trillion dollars of debt. I really dont see how one man can do such great damage... And another note to you car people. Picture a car as if i give you a rock. Take in mind you are the only one in the world with this thing called a rock. Thst rock would be worth alot because your the only one wth thwt rock. Now if i give everyone the 20 of the same rocks. It woyld be worth harly nothing because everyone can get them. In real terms, lamborghinis are imported from overseas. They are high dollar and rare here. People pay lots of money to get these rare items. All goes along with sulply and demand

Now we don't pay him cheap like other people would, because he does a damn good job. 100 dollars a day. For about 40 days. Point being is that for as hard as he works, no way in hell a american would settle for that. Hes done tile (that alone will run you a few grand), painted the outside AND inside of the house, rebuild a whole basement, blow leaves every week for the past month (2 acres) and more. Smiling his ass off. We priced a lot of the work with a few of my moms' friends and it wasn't nearly as much as we're paying him. And hes gratefull as hell.

It's a vicious. Say for example you can't get a job tiling, but you hire an illegal immigrant to tile your house because he's cheaper than an american citizen.
I get frustrated here in Vancouver at the government. The company goes we can't find any workers and we don't know why. The starting wage is $6 dollars an hour, minimum wage is $8 an hour in BC. An immigrant working on a legal. visa will work for that wage and the government turns a blind eye.
I just looked it up and discovered a little known scam. For those of you in British Columbia like myself, you know about the $6 dollar an hour training wage also called first hob/entry level minimum wage. It is supposed to be paid to employees with no previous recorded hours of work, or less than the 500 hours needed. The scam is that employers take advantage of young or uninformed workers and pay any new employee that rate for the first 500 hours of work regardless of prior work experience. To top it off employees are often fired or laid off due to exceeding these hours. A famous one for practicing all of these techniques is McDonalds. According to what I read while researching it is legal for an employer to terminated with our without cause of an employee, but it is illegal to terminated for the sole reason of exceeding the training wage hours, thus requiring a wage increase. Makes total sense...
Sorry for the rant I didn't even make my other point, but being an active union member I hear about a lot of this stuff. Anyone in the longshore union?

Hell not even luxury, even middle class cars. Honda and Toyota dominate. Couldn't agree more. Look at a parkinglot at a mall on a Friday night or something. 70% of the cars are foreign...and in many cases they are no better than American cars. People just buy foreign today because they have been brain washed by biased reviews and all the ads and commericals that are shoved down our throats everyday. I can barely stand to watch football anymore because of all the goddamned Toyota commercials. I saw 2 in a row last Sunday... I'm still loving how every consumer report and review I read STILL in 2010 and 2011 call Cadillac the inferior luxury brand under the likes of Acura and Lexus. I own a Cadillac and have been in Cadillac's my whole life. Everytime I'm in a friends Lexus or Acura (they are everywhere) I laugh at how cheap everything feels in comparison to a Cadillac. And then whenever people are in my car they can't compliment me enough about how comfortable and nice looking it is...yet Cadillac is the inferior brand. I'd rather drive my aunts candy red 1989 Eldorado or a new Ford Taurus then a top of the line Lexus. Even check out a legit source that gives reliability reports and in the last 10 years Cadillac's have had very low reliabilty problems. The only problems with Deville's/DTS's in the last 5 years were a rear power window motor and a heated washer fluid fuse. Jim Morrison warned us.."Those who control the media, control the mind"

The whole thing that pisses me off about our economy here, worse than anything else...... is how they give jobs to foreigners. Last week revenue canada phoned me about my taxes, and the call center lady could barely speak english!!!! and this bitch has all my personal fuckin info and access to everyone else's!!! I'll never forget the last time I crossed the border from the US to canada, some turbin head was working there at the god damn border crossing. I couldn't believe my eyes. I don't even have a criminal record and those fuckers would laugh me out of their office if I applied for a job with them. And to top that off, he gave me a hard time! These damn foreigners are taking over canada. I'm not even going to mention the tax dollars, which I pay into, is paying for their housing and food. All foreigners should GTFO. I never had a problem with them until that border crossing incidient, that drove me over the edge.

Aint tryin to be racist or nothin but it seems that a lot of Indians/middle eastern/Persians are buying up A LOT OF BUSINESS in my area they bought a small gas station/grocery market store which is 1 of 2 in my town and i also work at the 1st one, and the town 10 miles north has like 3/4 gas stations owned by them and all the hotels, and they mostly hire friends and family and cut out the locals. But I have to say the ones I work for are really nice and realy involved them selfs into the community which is important becuase my town is probably has half as many people that you would see in wall mart and is like .87 sq mls lol, but I also feel uncomfortable working with them sometimes becasue I cant understand them most of the time and one day I was going into the office to clock in for work i almost hit one of my bosses in the face with the door while he was praying and the room is crampt and I didnt know what to do because he was realy into his prayer and i tried to walk around him and not disturb him or walk on his rug and crap

Hate to tell ya but 85-90% of the cars you buy in the usa are imports. Either made overseas or here in canada some even in aus. I know it sucks. Well I know Cadillac's are still made in Detroit/Michigan

I'm not mad because they have STUFF, I'm pissed because they're treating them better than people like me and generations and generations of my family were here since the beginning. Of course you pay taxes, you have to. That doesn't mean you can't cheat your way through it. I'm not saying you do specifically, but alot of them do. It's called exploitation, and it's so obvious and sickening how many people do it.

We got this new kid this year in our school from another neighbor small town, he got kicked out of his school for throwing a brick through the principles car so he came to my town which has 0 black people in our high school and his only chance to make a good impression on us and he comes in one moring said , wheres my govment food! in the middle of the halls and just talks so ignorant its unbelievable, HE IS a actual stereo type. and does it on purpose its people like that, that piss me off.

Has anyone heard how Triple H is doing?
@ Chris's border story. I almost got the Vaseline at the airport returning from Mexico to Canada last fall. I'm a white Canadian and I think all my grandparents where born in Canada. An Indo-Canadian questioned me at customs. I guess she didn't like my answers and really hassled me, but eventually let me go. As I was passing the random selection portion, she had changed positions. I got the evil eye and as she was about to pull me in another customs agent pulled her aside for something else and I got by.
@ the jobs overseas post. 2 mills on the west coast of Canada have literally been boxed up in containers and shipped to India and somewhere else. The mills and all there equipment still operate in foreign countries with foreign workers. Theses are mills that have been here in Canada for near 100 years. It used to be illegal to ship raw logs out of the country. Everything had to be processed here. Now I see at least one ship a day minimum leave full of raw logs from Fraser-Surrey wharves. There are many more that the general public don't see taking logs over sea directly out of the jungles. That is the #1 thing killing my industry. For each mill closed I figure 20-40 people lose jobs on a tugboat.
Last point. A lot of foreign cars are made in America and Canada. Acura/Honda is, Toyata is. I'm sure the list is longer.

Not really. I said to my self from here on out im buying american. My first car is probably gonna be a Crown Victoria or a Maurader here soon. It kinda gets on my nerves the more I think about it ;D
