Just shop around though, don't just jump to the first thing you see. Eh what the hell I'll post this here. Stainless Steel T-Joint with TIG. Had a few days to touch up on TIG before our big project since I've been on aluminum for the past month. Heat was on 140, kinda low but still got the job done. sucky quality..

From what he told me he ended up paying alot less than I will before financial aid. Co-ed dorms too. Pretty stoked 35k is what the total cost is for my education at UTI. Diesel and automotive close to a year or less and leaving out with hopefully a Cummins and Ford certification. I start the 22nd of August. If you're reading this bitch im going to make GATS this year!

What do you say guys, should we create a "car-spotting" thread? I've got quite a few pictures and I always bring a camera, could be a fun thread.

Ok am I missing something? Do they tear those cars up on purpose or they get them like that? that looks like a pretty clean weld. although I dont know anything about tig we dont have any at you school its so small, just 2 sticks and 2 migs and only 1 mig works Welding isn't really that all hard. I don't need to be certified if i don't wanna! ;D Cant make good money doing it unless your certified ;D Mig is easy as hell though. I literally welded 12 iron gate bars with one hand. My buddy Greg pulled in with his step bar dragging. Said he ran up a snow bank and it tore right off. Asked me If I could weld it back on for em. Griding the old bolts off Was gonna get a picture of the finished product but he had to run. Made 2000 just this month alone from plowing. Then this raggity ass aluminum trailer bed came in. Every single damn support broke from stress. What a bitch that was to fix

That sucks. America needs a shitload of welders right now because of the old heads retiring out. Next 3 years America needs like 200,000 welders or some shit like that. But hey, its all in the wrist dude. Oscillate with your wrist and not with your hand or arm. Relax, and just go. It'll come to you. Do you really plan on making it a career?

I would like to I enjoy doing it but I'm new to it and I'm a slow learner and my shop teacher is a douche and dont teach us anything. so Ill probably just take a beginners class or some shit at the community college next year . I'm gonna go to then transfer to a tech school in waco maybe or something idk. its either that or diesel mechanic or a man whore

Older gen is out which really sucks but there is going to be a large void and were there to fill it. After diesel training I want to get certified in welding im not sure if they will also train me for that I hope they do. I'm gonna go to then transfer to a tech school in waco maybe or something idk. its either that or diesel mechanic or a man whore If it's the school im thinking of (TSTC) there's one in Fort Bend county which would be closer to you. If I was closer i'd be there.

That and file for scholarships. I cant remember the site right now, but One girl filed for 50 and got 3. There little scholarships like $1000 or $2000, but they add up. Finanical aid is the best though. It'll knock your tuition in half. Never not go to school just because you think its expensive. How much is it?
