Might be silly, but I want to do some skinning on the ATS in game trucks that come with the game, I downloaded mine from STEAM and the question is, do I have the trucks on my computer someplace in a folder, for the life of me I can not find them.

They're in Program Files/Steam/steamapps/common/American Truck Simulator/dlc_xxx.scs Use scs extractor to extract the files.

Are they in the same place if you have the disc copy of the game ? Just want to make sure because I should be getting it sometime this week I hope. Depends on the mail couriers.

Yeah I'm sure your right. I know that Skyrim had to be downloaded even though it was a disc so ATS is gonna be the same. Thanks man.

I do have another question though , I got on my laptop tonight to install ATS on it as well and when I go to activate it on steam it tells me this code has already been activated in my account and wont let me install it. Now I'm not a complete moron because I did install it on my desk top last night and I did activate but I cant figure out why in the hell I cant get it onto this pc ? I know it can be installed on multiple pc's so could someone help me out here please ? The only game showing up in my steam profile is Skyrim.

Should I delete it and reinstall ? Gotta make sure whichever PC you are trying to install ATS on, Needs to be in online mode, and if you haven't just try restarting Steam.

I even went as far as uninstalling and reinstalling steam on the laptop but it still didn't work. Any other ideas fellas ?

Put ATS in the correct folder specified above, and then right click on ATS in your steam library, properties, and click "verify integrity of game cache" That should either download it or just update it, but it definitely should recognize the game.

You should not have to install it on your laptop, you should or you could stream it from your desktop to your laptop. But you can install it on your laptop, not sure why it is not letting you. I've got it installed on two pc's, no issues, but I bought mine off of steam, no disc, so I'm not sure if that's the issue or not. I'd say, if you've not already, check out the steam forums. You'll probably find a solution there.

I actually did that once because i had a game downloaded and I wanted to move it to another drive, so all I did was move it to the appropriate folder and then told steam to verify and it found it.
