After the huge number of amazing truckshow entries, I've been considering the possibility of a screenshot of the month competition. There are things we can do so it's less of a clusterfuck (submitting entries via google forms, for instance) and we may be able to get a code for the forums that allows members to have badges on their profile for winning. Any thoughts on the idea?

We should make it like. The best screens. not any categories, or it will become a monthly truckshow. but, it sounds right to me

I would probably make different categories per game though. To keep the graphics fair where people are not voting based on that.

One topic only, will make the competition much better, several categories will only make less entries = less material to pick from I would probably make different categories per game though. To keep the graphics fair where people are not voting based on that. So one competition for each game to compensate for the graphics? Another for those who are too lazy to turn the console or the HUD off?? One for halfassed models etc. etc??? Seriously!People need to step up, we all know there's Haulin gear that can beat GTS gear, ET2 Gear that can beat ETS2 gear and vice versa. If people participate and wanna win they need to put time and efford into it! Here's a small tutorial on how to win a screenshot competition. 1. Turn off the console!!2. Turn off the HUD!3. Don't have a company, headquater etc. animation flying in the back!4. Make sure you got a proper shadow! (I told Kris how to do it and he payed me back by making a great tutorial so there's really nothing but poor excuses for a screwed up shadow). 5. Make sure you got reflective glass! 6. Spend time on getting your .mat's and alpha's right (for proper in game reflections). 7. Pick a good location. 8. Pick the right time of day so you get the background lights that makes your rig stand out from the rest. 9. Convert the screen into highest quality .jpeg. If you follow these 9 steps carefully you can't do wrong and you will have a great shot at beating a GTS screen with a Haulin screen!!
And remember a contest like this is not only about the truck/trailer/combo, it might as well be the scenery or a great combination of both

How about these rules:
- You can post only one pic per month. Choose wisely, because you won't be allowed to edit - Follow screenshot rules - No comment allowed in screenies thread. There would be a thread for that - Voting wil be the last 7 days of the month
Final word: may the best lego project win!

I think once a week would be better. As long as you guys do all the work with it I'm game. In case you were wondering, I voted "I'm stupid"

I think a weekly competition would be better, allowing people to display more awesome screenshots, it wouldn't be fair for someone that has 12 perfect screens only post one a month, when they could post one a week and create better competition. Also, the per month would allow people to just take a bunch of screens and post right at the deadline and they only have to drive once a month to get a screen entered. It would make the community more active if it were per week instead of per month. That is just my opinion, i also voted i'm stupid...

What I mean though is you're always going to have the bias asshats who vote based on graphics and all of us knot Haulin isn't the best. But hell, I'm game. Will there be any editing other than cropping, or just raw screens?

I'm not sure where you guys get the idea that people are bias and only pick GTS screens, 10 out of 14 winners in the truckshow INCLUDING BEST OF SHOW were won by haulin' stuff (compared to 3 GTS and 1 ET2 winner). Note also that this would be a screenshot competition, not necessarily voting based on best truck/trailer/whatever.
