MSTS was and is my favorite train sim game. The DEV team (Aces Studio) of MSTS 2 (MSTS original devs) had stopped working on it due to Microsoft bidding them farewell... Although it looks like they made their own company and are working on a new title. www.cascadegamefoundry.com/Go to the "About CGF" tab and "Press Release" and you'll see screenshots of their new Train sim!

Does anybody know how to get the amtrak trains (genesis) to work in free roam? I made sure that all trains are available for the scenario, but the genesis doesn't show up. These are the trains you have to buy, not the acela express.

Hopefully they will update it someday.

Aww man. Alright. What are the best free trains y'all know of? For TS2013 there aren't that many. But if you dig around there are a small handful of free ones. Check around on RailworksAmerica.

Hey Arctic and CVP, do either of you guys use scalerail? I try to stay away from it when I can, while it is an awesome product/mod, it laggs my system pretty bad on the routes that come with it. Hopefully when I build my new computer rig this summer I won't have to worry about it.

Hmm there are a lot of free-ware routes that use it over at RWA, but I know that Portland Terminal uses it also. RSC does not use scale rail as it is an 3rd party asset, the only routes that generally have it are ones created by 3rd party users or companies.

Go to your Railworks folder on your C drive. It should be under utilities.
Does anyone use the relay feature? I just discovered it I thought it would be kinda neat to do.

You'll find the "Package Manager" in the Railworks root folder. It's an executable called Utilities. Before RW2013 you could launch the Package Manager from the "welcome screen" but they got rid of the Welcome Screen for 2013. Note that Railworks installs through Steam- so to get to it you'll have to navigate though: Steam/steamapps/common/Railworks.

Ok, I did all that, but how do I use it? do I have to put it in a scenario, or should it already be in quick drive? because it isn't able to be run in my quick drive

You won't be able to use mods you download in Quick Drive unless you set it up using the Editor, or unless whoever made the mod included it (which I've never seen).
