I've been trying to ignore this for a long time, but you know what's even more retarded than some noob bumping a 6 month old thread? a bunch of retards who aren't noobs who know better, continuously bumping the thread to stir a bunch of shit up. Do you realize how stupid that is? and do you realize it completely looks distasteful? And if you think I'm taking the side of the noobs, I definitely am this time. And I don't care if you don't care about my rules and have to have the last word; call me hitler for it, etc, I will ban you on the spot the next time I see this crap here. I'm really sick of it. It just makes a cluster fuck of dumbassery.
They say people should read rules and read posts before posting. I agree, but I think people need to think before they post. Probably a bigger problem.

Haha, but really, I agree 100%. The PM section is there so we don't have to read through all your bullshit just to find some screenshots.

But yes its harsh when someone bumps an old thread just because they wanted to find out about the finished product or at least see whats the deal with it then 20 mins later he gets bashed for bumping an old topic and leaves. You people are some bullies lol.

I wouldn't call it being a bully, just some people here don't think about the situation in it's whole before they post. It's just creating more nonsense when this happens. I would clean up the forum but then needed shit like download links and shit go missing.

Well the thing is this... if you agreed to the forum's terms upon sign-up then your responsible enough for your actions regardless of whether your a n00b or not. Is it not common sense? If a topic hasn't been turned in sometime it's pretty damn obvious there is no update. Everyone here can read and everyone here types their own comments so stop making excuses and man-up

You know that board at the very bottom of the forum Chrissytit... it reads 'Recycle bin'... What kinda sucks is, You cant view the board. Everything that's like old, Should go in there + Locked. So people can view it and if they want, Download it. If there's a problem then you PM The author of the thread for a Download link. Then have a mod re-post the fixed link into the locked thread.... Make it simple. Like every month or so, Go thru clean shit up and put it in that area. Have seperate board's for each topic, Haulin, ETS, GTS, Whatever section, RNR etc etc etc..... It's worth a shot. It make shit easier i suppose.

I agree though it would be handy to be able to access the archive's and if there is any further problem's with getting a download from a link that is broken or w/e they can pm the person who made the mod or w/e...

What Chris is saying is you guys who know better, shouldnt be talking in threads that you KNOW are dead, or threads which have been bumped by someone who's new and doesnt know this type of thing yet.
It doesnt happen much, but I've seen it (even in my threads). Guys know I got nothing to post, and every day I come home from work and I see like 5 new posts in my thread... and its usually just some conversation between 2 people. You guys that found this place know that it's not like truckpol, we try to put out the best mods and give you guys many more privilages, so just value that, right..
Anyway moral of the story here: think b4 you post.. if you wanna bullshit around, go on MSN.. if you've got something interesting or relevant to say/ask, then feel free to post by all means. And we'll have a easy to read, easy to maintain board..

Exactly Ivan. And that's why I never said anything before, because most of the time it's just menial postings. But I'm actually starting to get pissed that people have to freak out at the noobs for bumping old threads. That's fine, be angry all you want, just don't post it. Because I don't want the thread being revived and continuously bumped just so you can vent at some noob who doesn't know better about thread bumping. Remember there is ways around this too, try bookmarking threads you want to keep up to date with, or change your preferences to how you view the threads.

Probably the same thing will happen to this thread, somebody will wake up on day ask some stupid question like " can i bump old threads if there is an important question ? " Just lock them !
