That fucking sucks not having a decent computer. My computer is considered ancient now too. I can still play games like bf3 on high, but not 64 player maps. Battlefield hardline just destroys my CPU, so I can't even play bf4 if I wanted to.
We're in the same boat kinda. Want a better computer but no money to spare for it. I am considering payments for a new one but that ends up costing twice as much in the end plus interest. fucking rape artists.

My laptop has held out pretty good actually. The open world games we play are hard on it, but things like bf hard line it plays pretty well.

It might be more salvageable than you think if you're willing to pop the side panel off and fuck with things.

So Bumping this cause I feel like I upgraded but apparently haven't fully upgraded (Need new GPU) Any who I got this from Speccy when I finally got it all setup and stuff. My main question is, Will the games I could run before run a little better with the better CPU and Ram? What are some suggestions on a GPU? I only have 1 AGP slot and 2-3 PCI slots (Non-PCI-e).
Operating System Windows XP Professional 32-bit SP3 CPU Intel Pentium 4 Northwood 0.13um Technology RAM 2.00GB Single-Channel DDR @ 159MHz (2.5-3-3-7) Motherboard Intel Corporation D865GLC (J2E1) 41 °C Graphics hp mx703 (1152x864@60Hz) 128MB NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti 4200 with AGP8X (Undefined) Storage 74GB Western Digital WDC WD800BB-22JHA0 (ATA) 46 °C 149GB Seagate ST3160812AV 41 °C Optical Drives No optical disk drives detected Audio No audio card detected

Not much of an upgrade, kindof went from worse to bad here. You need a newer motherboard because no new boards even support AGP anymore. You're really going to be limited with the pci bandwidth so you don't really need to worry about getting a good gpu. The board won't be able to keep up with it. I guess if you want, you can get like a 9800gt or an 8800. Those should be able to give you their full load. You can't really play any higher end games on that system, but haulin should be fine. Don't expect to play ATS when it comes out, at least not well.
