16 of the 24 work trucks are peterbilts 4 are kenworths 1 international 1 freightliner 2 western stars. Taking the top three of each would remove 1 kenworth and 13 peterbilts I think I might just stick to 2 sections

I might have an International next year depending on how long it'll take me to model one and whether or not I develop a brain tumor trying to.

Is there still going to be a Best Old School Truck? I don't see one in the voting section.

If 2005 is old school then I must be ancient.

I thought all pics except 3d render and calender shot must be taken at a truckstop/rest area, just wondering if I'm the only one who got that one wrong???

No, I did too, because originally my entry was going to be my boat rig backed down into the water for unloading, but at the last minute I read that it had to be a gas station

Once again people cant follow the rules so we have to cater to them so they dont whine and complain about being Dq'd. Rules are in place for a reason. If you cant follow them dont enter.

There are some really hard decisions in those polls.
Man, that's some epic stuff.

Did a Little research, I'll let the figures speak for themselves.
Best Work Combo, 24 entries, 16 going by the rules, 33.3% FAILED..!!
Best Show Combo, 11 entries, 9 going by the rules, 27.3% FAILED..!!
Best Old School Combo, 8 entries, 5 going by the rules, 37.5% FAILED..!!
Best Paint Job , 5 entries, 3 going by the rules, 40.0% FAILED..!!
Best Lights, 5 entries, 2 going by the rules, 60.0% FAILED..!!
No offense but 1/3 of entries in general ain't capable of following a few simple rules, is this really the best we can do???
Personally I refuse to vote for entries breaking the rules, I know it's not gonna make any difference but just so people know it when they get a hizzy fit about people always voting for the ones with the best graphics..................................

If 2005 is old school then I must be ancient. good point. Fixed, thanks I thought all pics except 3d render and calender shot must be taken at a truckstop/rest area, just wondering if I'm the only one who got that one wrong??? Yep, that was the rule. I didn't feel like enforcing it though, sorry. As a reminder, there's one-liner in each voting topic to remind you what to vote based on, in most of em the landscape shouldn't be a consideration.

Yeah, and how about for those of us who would have to make a map to be compliant. I have downloaded several farm sim maps with gas stations. Oh I agree, but most aren't comparable with Haulin stuff. I need to build a Chevron station, but I haven't done that yet.

Just FYI, if it was unclear, I'm NEXT to the Flying J in Bishop, not just some random parking lot.

Just because you didn't feel like enforcing it doesn't mean I didn't. You probably should have asked me, because this was supposed to be you and me, I just don't have permissions to edit the original post. To seriousmods, if you look at MY post amending the rules you will see I said to contact one of us of you had issues. Idk if you talked to dan, but I didn't get a pm. There is NO excuse for anyone to not be at a truck stop for any game except farm sim, and there are still maps with stations in it. Now, if dan won't uphold the rule the I will. If anyone who did not comply with the few rules that were made, then they are disqualified. If they are not removed from the polls, the when the official winners are announced, they will not be mentioned at all. So if you didn't comply , then you cannot place at all. The rules were made for a reason. End of story. Now, there shall be no more discussion of this problem in this thread AT ALL. Of you have a LEGITIMATE reason to talk about this, then send ME a pm about it. Happy 4th of July and good luck to all who rightfully participated in the truck show.

I agree with Matts asking not to discuss this any farther. Any issues you can pm him or Dan. And I will enforce the dropping of the topic for now. We can bring the discussion back after it is all sorted out.
