Here is the collision set-up I used which ws from the original container. I see what the problem is as you talked about Ivan, but I never edited .pmc file to correct this type of issue. I recall a discussion somewhere about it but can't remember where I found Ivan's collision tip on the first "Ask" page but the string in it is not in the hooper(.pmc): 01 00 00 04 00 00 01 for me to at least try this in the container pmc.

lol, at least you know what the problem is Harold, using the dryvan as base might be better, its shorter, i did for my 20' chassis and you get more skins too

Maybe I will switch to the dryvan but I would like the luxury of modifying my collision boxes via .pmc for future projects

Use "scale geometry" in zmod for scaling those boxes, looks like scaling without this option ;O) If you has scaled the boxes "wrong" , you cant rescale this ones, use/merge standards ...

Kamaz I have scaled many collision boxes in my time. In zmod it looks right and in .z3d file but in game it will look like the actual boxes if not edited properly.

yes, as he said.... for scaling col boxes u have to be sure, "scale geometry" is activated in the scale options... if not... u scale it and it will be in original scaling... u see it, when u reset the axles of the colbox, it will change to its unchanged scaling then

Thanks guys for getting in on this. Sorry Kamaz... you and Wuppy are absolutely right as I didn't use "scale geometry". I just scaled without checking anything. I still want to know how to edit a .pmc file correctly

Well I've been taught how by 3 different people, and still I can't get the shadows to ever show up right. Ivan said something about nodes, but still I can never get them to work even after hex editing.

you export ur trailer with pmc... then u open the original pmc which yours is based on... mark till 01 00 00 00 40, copy, open yours marke there also till 01 00 00 00 40 and paste. note: only till the first 01 00 00 00 40 (it´s more than one time in a pmc)

Imho, I think this should be put in tut or atleast copy the Main posts...and Put under trailer shadow, pmc, pmd editing. And then sticky it...Just my thoughts.
My trouble usually is the shadow...I can get the loads, multiple mats and collisons right and then my shadow will be messed up?And it always seems no matter what i do it crashes any idea?I have a trailer right now thats stand alone...replaces the flatbed with a mat for trailer and a glass mat. The collisons are fine, you can pull it anywhere ,unhook, hook up,pick up loads...just the shadow is messed up. Ive never had this much trouble from a trailer.

I'm feeling you on that Adam... we should have a topic about this in the "In House Tutorials" thread. I'm sure some will benefit from it

And that "scale geometery" this didn't work for me. In game my boxes didn't move at all

This trailer I'm workin on now, I'll work on it till I get it right. Then make a tut step by step. Because I have the same problems.

took a pic from the stock dryvan pmc... as u see, the 01 00 00 00 40 exists two times (2 colboxes) but u only have to mark until the first string

That's where I got confused Wuppy. I copied and pasted it up to the first 01 and was stuck in the sand after that. I will give it another shot when I get off. It will be later before I post my results as it's the first football Sunday

The log leaves a trailer.pmc error. Empty variant or some crap or sometimes it leaves nothing. For right now I'm using hex editor neo. I open the default .pmc and copy everything until the first "01" then I open my newly exported .pmc and paste over everything until the first "01" then I tried "save" and "save as" but still crashes

This is what I do, sometimes the shadow doesn't show up right still but the trailer doesn't crash on me hardly ever unless it's from my own error. First, keep the original pmc from the trailer, unedited to the trailer you replaced. Open up the original unedited pmc for the trailer. Copy until the first hex string 01 00 00 00 40 like in the picture, with the red. Open up your exported pmc, mark and replace until the first hex string 01 00 00 00 40 again and paste the data you copied from the original trailer pmc. Then that should be it. Make damn sure you have the original unedited pmc from the original scs trailer. And if you have multi materials especially you have to use the same pmc you based your trailer from, because if memory serves me right there is also material data in the pmc.....maybe I'm wrong.

there´s only variants and looks in pmc head, no materials itself

I don't know what I'm doing wrong here but I got the can .pmc from the default trailer then "block mark" to 01 then highlight everything before then I hit "edit" down to "clipboard" then I "copy". I open my newly edited .pmc fresh out of zmod and blockmark to 01, highlight everything before, clipboard then paste. Now I save or save as and I get this message below:

Looks like your running vista. Try running the hex editor as adminstrator

Yup, and run it under compatability mode too just to be sure. Infact, I just turned off UAC entirely on my pc.
