length doesn't really matter as much just keep it realistic. Remember, it doesn't have to be exact guys. If it's important enough then you can have it a bit bigger, like 240px height.

We've decided to remove anything over 600px wide, the limit is 500px guys. So anything over 600 is pushing it

And remember that you can only have up to around 230pxish high if you don't have additional text underneath/above. If it's around that amount or the text is tiny and one line then fine, otherwise it's getting removed. Anything considerably bigger will be removed and disabled. Count yourself lucky we're not doing it to the exact pixel regardless of what you put in it. If the design requires you to have it a bit wider then we'll allow for that, but if it's considerably over (i.e. 600+) then you need to resize the whole thing, taking it below the max height if needed. Most of the sigs that are over 500px don't even need to be anyway, you're just taking advantage of the fact that we're not doing it to the exact pixels. When will i be able to put a sig up. If and when we feel like it.

Well whatever my moderators say, goes guys. So if they don't want a 240px height banner around then they can do it. Just because I say something, doesn't mean I rule over what everyone says. Well, it does, but not with my moderators. They make the decisions too.

Yes, but only if you have no more than one line of text underneath. I still don't see why it needs to be over 200px tall in the first place, if you shrink the width a bit accordingly then it will not be stretched and everyone's happy. But I guess that's fine, go on

I'm not good at telling what size my sig is. Is mine too big?

I'm not good at telling what size my sig is. Is mine too big? An easy way to check is to right click on the image, and in the menu that appears hit "view image info"

If you use plain old IE7 just right click it and hit properties and it says the size.
