Lol nice comment. They are wasting money making the same games over and over again. From the screens it looks identicle to the old one just with new maps.

I agree, huge waste of money. The sales would be huge for haulin 2 compared to extreme trucker 2.

Yeah, I remember when I was talking to Rex about stuff like that, if they could figure out that shading method they were talking about for realistic shadows, and all of the new features they've developed since ets and the ones already in haulin, put on a brand new North America map, remodeled trucks, all of that stuff being run on their newest version of the prism3d engine. But, I guess that's not gonna happen. I don't see a shitload of people wanting to see another ET, why is valusoft still insisting on making them do that? It's not gonna make them that much money.

I should have been in that conversation , haha only if Haulin' had more realtistic shadow and a better prism3d engine I would be happy.

They make what they're contracted to make, valu soft felt that ET2 would be better than Haulin 2 for some odd reason. Hmm, yeah. This. When Valusoft says tells them 'make this game for us and we'll pay you $xxxxx,' being such a small company, they're hardly going to say no. ETS 2 on the other hand is their own game, and as far as I can tell it's going to do pretty damn well. There's a lot of europeans that want a game too you know, right guys?

I like euro games too, I play em more than haulin now. But come on, enough of it already. It's time for something different again.

There was like 5 or 6 American games before a Euro version, give them a chance to catch up. ;D Why aren't you out driving a real truck anyways? It's way more fun, can't get better graphics or physics.

I'd honestly be very happy with this. Even if they just made a Haulin 2, and then went back to making whatever else they wanted for however long they wanted. As long as Haulin 2 was moddable like the first one we'd be set for a long time with it. And I think a lot of people would be happy with the game and it would breathe at least some new life into the series. I know I wouldn't want anything else for a long time as long as they did what you said Jon.

everyone was all hyped up about ET but the main thing that made everyone stop was a lot less freedom to choose what you want to haul and what you want to drive and now they are failing again

Plus I think a lot of times it's the basics that make people happy and in the long run will make you successful. If I was in charge of ValuSoft I would think building on Haulin would be the next smartest move. I mean just read the forums. The game that most people still enjoy is Haulin. They've already made a handful of Euro games now, that are starting to get pretty repetative. People enjoy the new Euro games though because of the new physics and graphics and stuff, so hmmmmmmmmmmmmm what would be a good idea... Combine the two? No lets make another Extreme Trucker. ET was a flop basically, and they want to make another one.... Trying to make a copy of a TV show for sales is just a fail. Especially in this case. If they don't make another Haulin' within the next few years this franchise is finished as far as I'm concerned, except for little kids who want the game cause it looks kewl.

There actually is a Haulin 2, it's ALH. Sure, the've made several sims set in the US...but they're outdated, whereas they're making Europe sims with their up-to-date capabilities and graphics and such. I just wish they'd make one more game set in North America with everything upgraded to their modern standards, then I'd have something better to mess around with for a few more years while they make their arcade style ET shit.

Well make a haulin 3 ;D they should stop n look for a sec yeah people love ETS, GTS ETC but the biggest game (Mods and People who play it) is haulin' so it make sence to make a haulin 2 (3 what ever) instead of making ETS 2 and ET 2 thats my opinion

but my point is, there is nothing about the euro games that cant be americanised. so to speak. no one is using scs trucks or trailers, and i bet 80% of people arent using scs maps. it would be abit of effort but no more effort than whats been done to haulin.
