I don't quite remember how it is with GTS, but haulin is still (from what I know) the only sim to have the feature to own multiple trucks AND trailers at the same time..that's a big reason why I haven't left, anyway..that and there simply isn't a North American map for it.

Hi fellas, firstly I'd like to agree with you there Quentin haha.
Now, to me, I think the biggest disappointment for me with SCS games is all the stereotypical buildings, roads, vehicles. ET in Australia for example..why does every truck go along with the beacons on? why is there massive rocks all over the joint? I just think that they should ask the community a bit more instead of craming new and useless features into games that need more attention payed to the little things like being able to set the jake and air brakes to seperate values, longer maps & the other things mentioned in this topic.

Don't expect this to be part of the "new generation" along with ETS 2, this is planned to be released much sooner and therefore is likely to be just like the ET/ETS/GTS generation. Looks like this isn't going to have the new things they're working on for ETS 2 like the new physics, shaders, dynamic shadows etc. Probably another one you should not waste your money on, one of the quick jobs again done in a couple of months.

Yeah there's no way in hell I'm buying another one of these until it's a complete remake and looks promising.

Just the old games with some new trucks and trailers and a new map to keep the muppets occupied til ETS 2 is done.

Well like I said, don't expect it to be much better if it all than the current games. Won't see any drastic improvement until ETS 2.

Those graphics sure are pretty. Even if the gameplay sucks it'll be good for me to use for getting models in the game. I'll buy it probably if it's not too expensive.

I've already started modding ET so hopefully the vehicle files will work in this new game

Well atleast they are improving. It looks to be a little more promising than that shitty first one. Except for you guys that modded up the aussie side. That was dope.

O SNAP That shit is fuckin epic, the treelines, and that they're reflected off the water, the asymmetrical road texture in the 2nd to last pic, better vegetation, and the badass road work shit goin on there..I'd still get this despite the lack of freeplay. I hope they can get that deferred shading done in time for the release.

I'm going to completely change my post.
I think ET2 looks half assed again. All they did was make a couple new environments, a few new loads and called it sequel. Granted there are a few things pictures can't tell, but if history repeats itself they will be lucky to stay the same if not make a step backwards. It's just my opinion, feel free to disagree.

I actually agree. I mean it does look a bit better visually (the environments) but I don't think its enough of a step forward. The trucks still look cartoonish, and I bet the gameplay will be identicle to ET1. Plus I'm sure it will be full price.
If they don't make a Haulin 2 or some kind of American sequel with the Euro Sim updates after this damn ET2 they are literally all mentally retarded.

Steve is right. Which sucks bigtime especially for SCS, because they get pushed by valusoft for one thing and we push them back with another, and they're wedged inbetween eveerything. I'm sure they would develop a way better game if they had the resources.
I agree the trucks do look like toys kind of, but the graphics are a huge step. The water looks ALOT better than anything they have now. Like I said on truckpol, it's kinda sucky though they still haven't implemented dynamic shadowing. It kinda downgrades the rest of the graphic quality they recently improved. Still though, a big step in graphics. Someone on facebook should ask them if they're ever gonna do a game based on DirectX 11.

Yeah don't get me wrong I'm not bitching at SCS, when I said they I meant those in charge of the titles not really those making the game. If it wasn't for SCS we wouldn't have shit. But I agree about the graphics especially the water does look much better. If I knew that the next game would be something like Haulin I would buy this one just to support them, but idk

Even ET 1 looked pretty, but it sill played pretty bad which is probably the #1 factor for me. I didn't know that valuesoft were the nazi's and it's a shame. What also pisses me off is that it looks more like they put some trailer models from ukts or whichever one some of the trucks from ET and went "looks like we're done here." Who knows maybe they sell a million copies in India or something.
