I think I started at c&r like a week after I downloaded the game onto my family computer. It struggled a little to run the stock game and Corey gave me the ultimatum of using the company mods or being dropped. So right after that I got a laptop which I was going to do anyway. I started using that ice road map and running the shit out of it and penguin made me a trailer pack with the company trailers to drop in and I used a replacement truck. Back in the day when everyone had a stand up Pete cab with a flat top bunk lol. I really enjoyed trying to find mods that seemed ice roady and me and penguin ran the ice road division. I eventually switched to the rnr version 5 and used triple H's flat top. Was a good truck. Eventually Corey joined Cedric at gti and rocky got sick of it. So I used the logging map for some time and somewhere in the I joined Great Lake transportation and it eventually shut down and then I believe I joined yaghi transport which was the first place I learned to mod by using Cedric's tutorials. Eventually mado shut it down to join Hurd trucking which closed right after. I thought that was funny. I spent about a day with some other VTc but the first conversation I joined in on they were working on hacking some truck so I decided it wasn't for me. I bugged the shit out of Cedric forever to join gti with home Corey Andre and probably some others. From watching what arctic wolf and kris were doing along with some others like Tom Sawyer running without a VTc I started doing that until Corey approached me to join kti. I still think Aaron didn't like me for the longest time lol.
I honestly think what's driven a lot of people away is the technology. Now it takes so much more work to mod the games than it did and being the computers handle so much more everyone is getting so detailed. I really think if the male an American version just like ets2 it will kind of light the fire again. I really like ets2 but what's holding me back is I'm not too into the euro scene. I don't even feel the need to mod it much. The folder is far smaller than the haulin or et2 folder but maybe that's because Europe isn't really my scene.
Also I remember Cedric and Corey helping me a lot when I first learned to zmod. Even now bora has helped me ton among others.
I really didn't know I had such an effect on people.
Edit: I forgot about starting my own VTc because it pissed me off how people did things half assed like haul this load of fuel and back it into the warehouse door for unload. That was a good time, but the lack of people doing anything ventually got to be too much.

I honestly don't remember much. Nobody really knows me, just kind of chime in whenever something interests me. Been around a decent amount of time but haven't contributed much, and wasn't often involved. So pretty much I was one of the ones lurking around and taking mods. But I guess that's the majority. So I got no little story.

I remember first getting in the scene right after I got Hard Truck 2, found Truckpol on Scssoft's website and became a member around the time Trucksims kicked the bucket. and started looking around the forums once 18 WOS AA was sort of moddible, but once PTTM came around I really started getting into it. I figured out how to unmirror paint jobs with logo's, and when major mods could be only done by hex editing which was next to Impossible for alot of us. Then Oleg came around with Zmod and then modding became huge and so did the forum wars especially the US vs. Euro trucks, Sandhawk and Repman being a total power tripping no lives. I remember religiously going to Mick's, Southern Customs(amcanes and another person), Shadetree Customs(Ivan and Pat), Northeast Customs(Josh) and bunch more, I think I'm mostly remembered for having a one of a kind Blue VNL770 with parts from fellow modders, getting parts and even unlocked models from the big guys Ivan, Cody, Superman, having Mitch convert my PTTM Volvo over to Haulin when it came out. I seemed to get along with everyone but then of course as you get better at modding, you get the new guys who won't get off your rear because they want what you have even though you stated not for release, but yeah we all have our noob moments at one point! Haulin was still big for me until couple years ago real life hit me and after a 9 months of stuffing sausage and delivering them to stores in a little Mitsubishi Fusu, finally got my Class A November 2011 and lucky enough at 19 to land a local ltl job with my dad who went OTR with the same employer and caught on real quick how to drive truck, not exactly flawless tho had some rookie mishaps at my time and learned from them. Met Dom for the first time While he was with Gully at the time, now I look back and think, where would I be if I wasn't involved in the trucksim world and Thank you guys letting me be part of the ride, but like all the older members, got to get back to real life!

Was introduced into trucksims from a couple youtube videos in like 09 and started googling haulin and found this forum and then I started posting screens of the stock haulin trucks started seeing more and more screens of KTI trucks and eventually started finding out how to do storages and put mods in-game and then learned zmod and did a crappy truck and then got some help and 2.0.8 and now I'm doing my own trucks and trailers.

Been here since 2009 and loved every bit of it since then. Worked for a few companies. Con-Way Truckload, RPM Logistics. E&A Transportation, a few others I was never really known simply because i never put myself out there like that and I never learned how to mod. I can skin very well though. The farthest i got with modding was importing and exporting after you attach everything and i forgot how to do that. Truckpol was ok but afterwhile it just got boring so I came here and i think its awesome. left a whole bunch of stuff out but its ok doeeee. lot of cool people here hopefully this place grows and I can give back to the community as much as the community has givin me.

I'd like to point out that before Phatsam made his first forum there was the ORIGINAL Trucksims.com ran by a great guy named Bill Dunsmore. Trucksims was where I came in back in the days of Hard Truck & Hard Truck 2. We had some good people on the boards back then, guys like Dale3livesforever, Polar, Hardtruck aka Ivan, Phatsam, Outlaw, Just2good, and yes Sandhawk just to name a few. Sandhawk back THEN was a pretty good guy as was the others. Just2good was my favorite moderator from Trucksims as he was completely fair with everyone and he DID even have an account here at one time. As for the guys from Truckpol like Repman and them, most of them came around well after Trucksims.com closed its doors. I even quit the truck sims community for quite a long time after that site went down but came back not long after Chris came into the community, we even learned the basics of modding Haulin at about the same time although Chris is MUCH better than myself. That's my part of the Trucksims Community history lesson for the day

I'm late seriously on this thread but Ive been here since June 16th 2009. After many years on european forums, driving on many VTC'S with Hotracer,cedric59 and Quentin(I forgot a bunch of guys) I just see a forum very well done where I can finally talk and exchange some tips and tricks about SCS game and talk about real trucking life. TRUCKMODSHOP Now I've been driving in real trucking world since 1 year at this date at the age of 18 and I really like this profession where I can drive, experiment in some wheaters, meet new people and drive, drive, drive!!
