I would order it at 3000toys.com simply because they already have it in stock and shipping is $7.95

It is a Monaco Safari Cheetah motorhome produced by DCP. The only problem is that the passenger mirror is broken into 3 parts, the mirror, the base, and the little stud that holds the mirror inside of the model, bad part is that the stud is stuck inside of the model and I cannot get it out to put a replacement mirror in. I have contacted Awesome Diecast Monday and they are supposed to get back to me, I hope they do. Anyhow, amazing model, here are some photos. Anyone have a clue on how to get the stud out? As you can see, the piece of mirror is still in there. The roof is removable to see a fully detailed interior, you can also slide the slides in and out.

I saw it in another forum that on the DCP trucks just put it in the freezer. Once it gets frozen let it thaw out. It should loosen up the broken stud but it would also loosen other parts like the horns. So make sure you have some glue handy. Disclaimer- Not responsible for any damages cause by this method. I have never tried this method so I don't know if it really works or not.

So, I contacted Awesome Diecast and they are sending me a new RV...bad thing is that it is the other color option, not the gray and black that I have. I wish I could fix the mirror.

Only thing is that I think that gray was the last one ever...lol. I mean, there's nothing wrong with the other color, I just love the gray and silver together. Any idea about the mirror? Maybe I can fix it before the other one gets here.

You got a good deal. I still can't believe the very first K-DAC truck that CanCast posted on ebay sold for almost $350 then they dropped around $150 and now they're going for $100. I bet the buyers that paid $350 for the KDAC and almost $400 for the ERB must be pissed right now.
I was going to buy it from him but then I saw it at twin city diecast for $79.99 so I had to go with TCD.
Now you need to get the ERB

Maybe I can fix it before the other one gets here. Do you get to keep the broken one also? If not i would have just sucked it up found a local hobby shop and had a modeling pro fix it for you for a couple bucks. If it was that rare dude I would not have let it go for something as simple as that!!!!!!!!!

I may just take it into a Hobby Shop any way and see if it can be fixed, I can always send the new one back ya know, tell them I changed my mind.

I would definatly find some sort of model or hobby shop and let them work there magic. I have a friend that owns a shop around me that has helped me with some of the rare diecast i have bought over the years. If the silver and gray is your thing then exhaust all other options before you give it back. None of you guys take this out of context but as someone with some age and experience in collectiong diecast. If it even has the slightest hint of rareity keep it. Oh so many times in my life I have traded or sold something or in Tyler's case sent it back broke and then kicked myself in the ass in the long run. But also remember that sometimes diecast is like a Disney movie. "This is the last release ever for this film" (until we need money again)

I completely understand Corey. What happened now is that I went ahead and purchased the new one sent. They gave me a 15% discount and knocked an extra $14 off for shipping and the total price, shipping was $10 of that $14. So I will have 2 RVs. Fine with me since Monaco went out of business in 2009 and was then bought by Navistar and is now Monaco by Navistar. These DCPs are as old as 2009 and are no longer going to be produced, according to the person I talked to over the phone. Awesome Diecast was really nice about the whole thing, that's why I buy from them.

I believe those RV's were made in 2004. Check the bottom of the box and it should have some numbers pressed into the box.

Yup, 2004 it is. Makes them even more special. Haha. I'm gonna take my gray one up to hobby town and see what they can do. I tried getting the piece out with a toothpick an a tiny screwdriver, nothing good cam out of that, just a small scratch that would be covered by the mirror base when I get it on. I'm happy now, I get both colors of a great little model and Awesome Diecast was great to work with.
