Easier said than done. Lol I'm finding that out myself It's only going to get better or worse, depending how you look at it. Lol. With the Boyd Bros truck I've hit a total of 175 trucks in my collection and proud to say I stuck to 1/64 scale only. There's been a few 1/53 scale trucks that I've been tempted to buy. I've held my ground and not bought them.

I've held my ground and not bought them. I must have had a completely different expirence than most of you. My collection is all 1/53. I bought one DCP and was extremely disappointed. the detail was horrible and it looked like it was just thrown together. With my 1/53 i can honestly say my only complaint is that on some of the models the wheels are a little lose. Other than that, as someone who has collected all types of diecast from cars to trucks, from planes to trains my Tonkin 1/53 are the best looking diecast for the money. You may have just had a bad experience like i did. I would be more than willing to pack up some of my better looking trucks and meet someone halfway for a little diecast show if you want

Don't get me wrong, I love my Tonkins, I just dont have room. I can't even display the little bit of DCPs I have with my planes and buses. It's either some of each or all of one. Lol

May I ask what DCP model was that?
I have never held a Tonkin 1/53 in my hand so I can't say I had a bad experience.
I say about 80% of my collection is DCP, the rest being DG, First Gear, PEM, and a few SpecCast. I've seen pictures of Tonkin trucks here and from different dealers and I just find them a little odd. I think Tonkin just focused too much on the details inside of the cab than the outside. I have a lot of Series I DCP trucks and I don't display them with the cab off showing off the sleeper bed so I could care less about the inside of the cab detail.

codgebilt.com/product_details.php?product=224Definately not worth what i paid for it. Well let me rephrase. The cab is not worth it. I like the trailer. The cab just has so much on it that it looks thrown together. I will have to look around for the DCP's with the exposed cabs.

Some of this "custom" trucks are ok, but most are just way overdone. If you wanted to devote some time and money into it, you could build those trucks pretty easy.

That red and black Pete looks good but it would look better with an actual company name on the door, just my opinion. I'm not really into the O/O's runs. That Nepote looks clean too. On the curtainside trailer, does the curtain go all the way down? It looks to me like is just a couple millimeters short therefore you can see a gap. This is why I have stick with 1/64th scale Newest Western LoneStar. It has a new tooling for the visor, stack, and light bar in the back the back of the sleeper. They also added full fenders.

Tyler most of mine do also but certain O/O trucks that are made are done in collaboration with Trucks and stuff so they both get their name on the box.
