I recently built my first gaming PC and I noticed it would freeze randomly while playing games and even when just using a web browser. After some looking, it seemed I didn't have an overheating issue. Today I decided to check task manager and found that when it freezing the CPU and Disk percentage spike incredibly. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Thanks Please help
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet
It might be windows search and superfetch doing it. I read on a few random forums that ever since the fall update for Windows 10 the search service would get stuck in a loop and cause a 100% disk usage. I forget what superfetch does. Try disabling them and see if it goes down. Worked on my laptop anyway.
The search will still work with the service disabled, I haven't noticed a difference but I think maybe it slows it down a bit?
