I wasn't great friends with Skyler D., but I knew him a little, talked with him a few times about trucks and trucking, he wanted to buy his own truck in a couple years and start pulling for the company he'd been wrenching for, and very recently started training to drive for. It troubles me, but I feel I should share this with everyone on here, but at 6am this morning, Skyler D. was killed in a wreck along with his trainer when an SUV pulled out in front of them. Both men were ejected and killed, the occupants of the car are find according to the article I will link below. He left a wife and two kids behind. Skyler was 22 years old. Life is short, folks. Make the most of it. Rest in Peace, Skyler. Article

Fuuuck. I often think about what it'd be like to die at my age when I'm still trying to get my life started, and it really sucks when it actually happens to someone else. I came close to losing 2 close friends to suicide this past year that are about the same age as him, but I can still only imagine what his loved ones are going through. My condolences to them. RIP.

Now I know why my folks worry about me more now that I'm driving. Incidents like this. And he's the same age as me, so that really hits home for me. I'm hoping and praying for peace amongst his family. And for those who are still with us, take the time to embrace loved ones when you can. May you rest in peace, Skyler.

Hell I still remember when all he could talk about was getting that damn cdl lol he was so excited...I know his family will be taken care of, trucks and family were always the things on his mind. The department he worked for, Russellville Rural FD, is selling shirts if anyone is interested, all of the money goes to his family.
Rest easy Skyler.
