Well, I impulsively bought a 97' sierra a couple months ago, simply because it was stick and up here in the canada's, at least in my part, they're nearly impossible to find. Problem is, the guy before me hacked the stock muffler out and was running straight off the cat. I'm looking at ordering in a new muffler for it (because emissions) but i want something that's fairly loud. And by loud, i mean obnoxiously loud because my neighbors love it. I've been looking at flowmasters but i'm honestly stumped. What would you guys run?

The Catalytic Converter is the emissions component... Personally, from watching sound clips, I like Magnaflow, but that's just me. Once it warms up. my 92 Chevy 2500 (light duty) will probably get a magnaflow muffler. If you want loud, Cherry Bombs? Here's a pretty decent site dedicated to the GMT400 GM trucks: www.gmt400.com/*note this is not a paid sponsorship by gmt400

My only goal here is load as hell without sounding like a honda civic. My truck just coming off the cat sounds like one already so i'd like to manly the tone up as well. I've been thinking a cherry bomb, but would a flowmaster super 10 be to high pitched?

Can't gut the cat because it's not on the road yet, i need to put a full exhaust system on it before i can get it e-tested. I might try the cheap glasspack I sell at work, i believe it's a thrush.
