Chris & I have discussed changing the forum's format. We want to make it more accessible and open to everyone. It'll be different from what you've seen in all the forum's so far (to my knowledge), but this way we hope more people will be enticed to post their pictures and share their stuff no matter what game it's in. Sometime this week it should happen. This also means that you could experience some forum downtime, we hope to keep that minimal. Attachments:

So I"m assuming there will be game specific subfolders after the regional sections, right? One for ETS2, one for Haulin, one for ATS, etc.

Nope, that's thing. There are so many around here that drive around in American trucks but never show them because they play an "outdated" or "unpopular" game. So we've decided to make boards per category: American trucks, European trucks & Australian/NZ trucks.

Looks good to me! No more haulin only and more people will see shots from other games.

I like this plan!
It looks like it'll be interesting.

Seems like the Haulin section gets by far the most use on here. Getting rid of game specific categories should increase interest in the other games like FS, ETS2 and the older truck sims

My idea! Well, I'm going to present a totally different plan that I think would be interesting to see put into practice. We all know that Haulin, GTS, ETS2, and Extreme Trucker 2 have great graphics while games like PTTM, GTS SA, and so on have less crisp, older graphics. So how about instead of having the various screenshot threads kept separate, we had a general North American trucking thread, a European trucking thread, a South American trucking thread, and an Australian trucking thread, that allowed users who play any of the newer games to post in a general by continent thread. Then have similar threads, or maybe the current threads for the older games like PTTM which aren't played as much, and an other section divided into special categories for gaming pictures not related to trucking: farming itself, racing, trains, etc. I'm not trying to be haughty or something, but I'd say some of my screens are equally as good as Haulin and occasionally as good as ETS 2, and it would be cool to see a common continent-based trucking thread instead of all the various threads. Not only would everyone have more exposure, but I think it would be more fun for the whole forum, and especially for those of us who play games that don't have as great a following in this community. However, I'm not saying that we should get rid of the Farming Simulator thread altogether as that could still be used for farming only pictures (tractors, farmyards, buildings, harvesting equipment and the like), and I would agree that combining the 3d sections would be a good idea as well. Now to expand the idea even further, if the site was divided into cars, trucks, trains, planes, and other games (FPS games like Day-Z and so on, farming pictures, and various other things), then I think it would bring the forum together as one cohesive unit. It's just a thought, but I felt like sharing it. So I can post my FS truck stuff in the American trucks section? Yay! This forum is awesome!

Yeah when rowboat threw this idea at me it really made sense. I hate the categories now because it's the same as trucksims was. this will be a little more unique.
It's really a pain in the ass moderating so many different boards and half of them not being posted in. And as for sub categories, those are out of the question. I HATE sub boards of any kind.

No more VTC's, we've only had trouble with those and no one hardly posts there. If you want to promote VTC's, do so in private.

I hate to be Mr. Party Pooper, but I don't like it. When I got on I wanted to see specific games. I checked the Haulin' and ETS2 threads because quite frankly, I really don't care about any other games. Now things are just a little more crowded in my opinion.
With that being said, it kinda is a neat idea, it's just going to take a while to get used to it all.

Well, it's sorted better in a way, people will post pics from every game that has an American truck in it, in one thread, and I like that!

It's more of a reorganized mess to me. It's a good concept, but instead of a forum cluttered up, screenshot threads will be cluttered up and you'll have to mandate that people put a tag on their threads mentioning which game the mod goes in. I guess for the Euro and Australian trucks that's not exactly necessary since they only have 1 game for them..on the other hand, I noticed that everything for GTS was shitcanned, but really who cares about that game anymore anyway? I don't really ever see a post in there anymore, but there was still some good stuff to see in there.
Whatever, not my forum.

Maybe no one will care this comment because most of you guys don't know me, but anyways it's just my two cents. I think it's a good idea to have it reorganized this way, it will be weird for a time, but we'll get use to it. Everyone will be able to see each other work no matter what game it is, which is cool I think. What is sad is that some threads like the Haulin' Questions Thread were apparently deleted. I think they still could be useful to people getting errors. They could go through the older posts and see if anyone had their problem before. But I guess people aren't patient enough to do so and just prefer to ask another time. Maybe I'm just too much nostalgic and I'm the only one who like to go though older posts of the PTTM screenshot thread.Whatever.

Change isn't always bad. If it fails horribly, things can always be changed again, but this will probably work fine no more noobs than we get. I know we get plenty, but very few if you look at some of the other forums.

The good part about it is, some of the older games that have died will get a little bit more attention. Like PTTM screens in the same thread as haulin & ATS when it comes out.
But yes, you'll have to tag your posts when you release mods for specific games. I can actually improve that and have some ideas, but I won't say yet because it may not be possible.

tbh heres my two cent, i know ill probably get into trouble for what i am about to post but ohh well after the last changes i'm basicly out of here already. this makes no sence at all '' european trucks '' '' american trucks '' whats going on it just dont make any sence heres an exemple Ets2 american mods, its an american truck in a game based out of European trucking game same goes for Haulin European mods, what happened to the simple way of browsing for mods like if i'm looking for ets2 mods now i have to look in two diferent part of the forum plus its now all mixed the fuck out with haulin mods, AA mods, ets mods, gts mods etc... I mean ffs i can already see noobs storming the question treads with question like '' why this truck wont work in haulin '' '' why this trailer wont work in ets2 '' fo'real why ppl keeps fixing things that are not broken? on that i think im out of here !
