Honestly I don't care what they do, as long as they do it properly. (bussim excluded)

They've had their fair share of Euro sims. It's time for something different. I don't know my ass from my elbow on European trucks so I dont know about the quality in the past, but the old 387 interior wasnt too bad. The KW interior was pretty nice too, but I'd hope they make it like they did GTS or something. Something that has interior mirrors, nice graphics, and something worth paying over 5 bucks for. So let's just keep our fingers crossed on this and hope we hear some good news. Is there any date that they're planning on a press release, or is it just whenever?

Dear god, I looked through that blog again at the comments. These faggots actually want a bus simulator?? The retards badgering them for multiplayer are really starting to piss me off too. And wtf, why in the hell would any of them want hands on the wheel? That's seriously the corniest shit they could do, I mean besides getting out of your truck like the other retarded half is requesting. Fuck the fans in the blog, probably a bunch of 11 year old ass lickers.

Putting multiplayer in one of these games would require more work than it's worth IMO. What's even the point of multiplayer? I think most kids who want it just want to race eachother and make it a joke. A bus sim would take a lot of detail to make it a truly good simulation. And that won't happen with their current resourses, so that would be a waste. You might as well drive a bus around in GTAIV. The next game they make that I would be happy to play would focus on a realistic, detailed map of a certain area. What's the point of having the entire US or three European countries to drive around if they're bland and repetative. And for God's sake give us a detailed, licenced North American truck already.

They got animation support for ets2, I don't see why they don't just add hands themselves.

A new us Truck sim would be nice. I say screw the truck models and trailers for that matter...Work on the physics and the actual game engine, too allow us more realism, such as multiple trailer attach points and such. Also add small details like commands that allow for strobes, lift axles, and the like.
Too many other games have way too many commands and features such as this and I think it is about time scs Steps up and joins in. They whine about budget, yet the keep reinventing the wheel and waste time changing file structures on pretty much ever single game.
I know I am not in their shoes or do I have the means to do better. I just think they need to step it up if they want to keep this going. I know i have greatly lost interest in these games.

The only reason they keep making Euro sims is bcause they're are a lot more people out there to buy them. As far as an American game goes the audience doesn't stretch much further than this community and maybe truckpol. Even then some end up just pirating the game anyway.

The game needs more realistic physics for sure. The problem is that they're probably still far away from getting them right. As far as the game engine, it should allow more dynamic weather/weathering effects. Like mud and dirt on vehicles (that uses physics to collect and pattern), puddles and debris on the road etc. Afterall, the game is literally about driving, so they should make the road and vehicles themselves as detailed as possible. But I agree with your points. Euro Truck Sim 2 is decent but not the breakthrough game we all wish for.

THQ. But yeah, a few of their subsidiaries, including Valusoft, were sold to other companies.
Valusoft got bought by Cosmi a while ago so they're still around.

Even rig n roll have better interior anims than these game...

THX, THQ, get the fuckers confused anyways. Hopefully they'll just make us a new American game....I've got my fingers crossed for a new coast-coast game like Haulin originally was. But with better graphics, physics, etc.

Problem is, usually the drill will be that Valusoft will go to them, ask them to make a shitty game, pay them, then they do exactly what they're paid to do.
ETS2 is what SCS can really do when they're not badgered by some company with terrible ideas..
It's too bad there's probably not any other North American publishers that would allow them to do what we've been wanting for the last few years..

As nice as it would be to have an entire country or continent to travel, at this point I think they should go quality over quantity. Even if we had a map similar in size to Ivan's Haulin map or the map Dan's been putting together, and a handful of very detailed trucks. It would be smaller scale but still very enjoyable because of the amount of detail. It may even be more realistic in a way if the map is made to represent driver's who consistently travel a certain route. They could even market the game as a "prologue", similar to what they did with the Scania Driver thing. It would be a good place to start.

I actually thought about that, anyone remember what they did with Hard truck 18wos? When you started a game you could pick which region you wanted to drive in: the rockies, midwest and I think the southeast too. It wouldn't be too bad of an idea if they did a little chunk at a time. I think they're doing it the same way with ETS2, they left out most of France and all of Spain but I think they're working them into the game slowly, not really sure. If they did the rocky mountain region first then I would be content with it, the eastern half especially since I live there, kind of sucks. Nothing but cities the closer you get to the coast. haha
I would hope that they pick a decent enough team to model the trucks in the same way all of us do it, just going by pictures. Looks like they did a decent job on the mack and peterbilt interiors in extreme trucker (even though a lot of it was probably wrong) and we have a good handful of people who just model trucks as a hobby who do it better. I don't know what their excuse is, except maybe the "short on time" one..

Hell....I just hope they actually go somewhere with an American game. If it was like GTS, or ETS2, hell....I'd pay $50 for the damn thing...
